Negril Escape is very nice. So is Sea Starr Inn <more affordable>Try the ladies at Elite Upscale in Negril. The owner is from the states so she "follows up" on phone calls and email, in my opinion better than some of the locals. Lots of attention to the small detail. They did my wedding so I am raving about them. They found my location and did a great job. 876-357-3372

Okay so my wedding went amazing! My photographer was outstanding, my planner was a "True Godsend". She was so patient with me and "Organized". We had flight issues, and every other castrophy you could think of with a large destination wedding. I dont want to sound like a commercial or anything. But I am definately their #1 fan! She even threw in a "Wedding Sitter" for the 12 kids that attended free (but we did tip her well). I had never even heard of wedding sitters. They had toys and games for the kids. It was awsome. The photographer I used was Catz Eye Photojournalisim the number in Jamaica is 876-452-3240 ,I think? > and The Stateside number is 314-610-0853. She has some work that she has done with Sun Golds Micha Earle. (I THINK she works solo because of the money the indies with Sun Gold actually recieve off the package is very minimal). SHE CHARGED US $350 but she also has things you can order. Key rings, Tshirts ect. So in total, my complete order was $650 (we ordered Thank You cards with personalized pictures of us and different guest and some key rings. We also ordered gift bags for the day we arrived in Jamaica with our pictures on them <Elite and Catz Eye both worked on these> My planners were Elite Upscale Weddings in Negril. My consultants were Jai, Beverly and Alecia. They give you 3 consultants for your event. They were great RESPONDED TO EVERY EMAIL, PHONE CALL AND PANIC ATTACK I HAD! 876-357-3372 or 618-223-0028. I can not express how well they coordinated things for our event. I guess that is the difference in using a smaller company. They were able to make concessions for things that really did not involve them. Like my sister and brother inlaws flight being postponed ,<Elite took care of it> No driver at the airport waiting for several of my guest <Alecia arranged a shuttle to get them in>, My fiance's delayed bags came in the morning of our photo shoot but could not be delivered until the next day. Jai the owner of Elite went back to Montego Bay and got the bags! The decorations were much more than even I was expecting. I didnt really like the taste of my cake but it looked gorgeous lol. Food was great! I am not sure of the Dj's name but he was really good and he had a singer with him. Anthony B. Total cost for Them was less than $400. Can you believe that! My ceremony started at 4 and was not over until after 9pm. I had my Hair and Make up done by Queen Bee's Salon at Negril Escape. The ladies name is Debra and she was really good as well. Unfortunatly I dont have her number. But she was also a ref from my Elite Upscale Weddings. Hopefully I have given some helpful info. Honestly, I was very nervous about using a planner I hadnt met. Especially with the horror stories I have witnessed! But my wedding turned out Perfect!!! I will post my pictures as soon as I can. If you have anyother questions let me know.

Congrats on your upcoming. I am getting Married in Negril this month. But I helped my sister with her wedding last year in Negril. So I have ALOT!!!! Of info on this topic. Make Up Artist Bay Far is Queen B (Scissors Salon) Pictures Sun Gold or Their Assoc Misha Earle (I think That is her Name) Wedding Planners I am in Love with my planner Jai from Elite Upscale Wedding. My sister got married last year in June and everything we needed for her wedding that we didnt have or forgot we had to go all the way to MOBAY for. So this place Elite Upcale opened this year and not only do the service weddings. They are a wedding store as well. How convient this is gonna be. I will post my reviews (My Wedding is Aug 15) and let you know how everything went.

I am using a photographer I found while in Negril. She is with Elite Upscale Weddings in Negril. The package that I chose was arougn $350 and it included a photo album and a check list of poses that I wanted. Hopefully this helps

My sister got married in Jamaica last year. Lasting Impressions were the photographers for her event. They showed late, they enjoyed the wedding drinks and food more than the guest. A guest at the wedding took better wedding pictures than Lasting Impressions. Mrs. Fraiser didnt show up until the entire event was over (her photographers came as my sister began the walk down the aisle). When my sister spoke with Ms. Fraiser she was rude and unconcerned! The Lady that took the pictures is the owner of Sues Internet Cafe on the westmorland cliffs. She took awesome pictures.

Can you tell me where they are located in Negril? Did you have to pay a deposit to reserve?

I am not sure but I made my decission to book RIU for our wedding because of the recession. I was thinking that would be best for our budget. I had the oppurtunity to visit riu for vacation in May and although they were busy. The brides that were there were clearly not comfortable with the rush through planners there. There are so many wedings go on at the same time or over lapping that it just seems so rushed to me. I want a relaxed experiance for myself and my guest (48 booked family and friends). I had booked my event there but I couldnt speak with the planner to ask some questions about my details "in person". I am a hands on person and I am just not feeling the "no problem" attitude of the person I am trusting with my day. I know it works for some but just not my thing. Luckily I found a planner in Negril (Elite Upscale Weddings only wedding supply store in all of Negril)and I am pleased so far. I will let you know how it goes in a few weeks. (Aug 15)! In no way am I knocking or trying to make anyone nervous I am just sharing my experiance. Also Sun Gold Photography is great. I met with the owner Paula and she is phenominal! Good Luck to everyone

Hello Ladies And Hoorah to my Twin Date Brides. I am getting Married in Negril At Mirage Inn and I am so excited. Have any of the Negril Brides on this forum had any sucess with getting programs printed or are you taking with you? I have a team of wonderful wedding planners in Negril (Cancelled Riu Venue). But programs were something I am considering on doing myself. What do you think?
