About pbj22

  1. Ari planned our wedding in Negril earlier this month and she was FANTASTIC. She is incredibly responsive, has answers to all of your questions, and will go out of her way to help you have the wedding YOU want. She helps you see the details (and prices!) behind the scenes if you're interested -- but I also trusted her judgment and deferred to her on a number of decisions. Come wedding day, she brought all of the details together, made things happen smoothly, and took care of EVERYTHING so we could focus on getting ready and getting married! She is very organized, answered our questions completely (and promptly!), and was an absolute professional. If you're planning your wedding from afar, I highly recommend working with her.
  2. Thanks for all of your help! I'm slowly getting the information I need -- now I just have some direct questions that still need to be answered by the WC... Thanks again!
  3. Okay, so I've searched and searched and I still can't find any pricing information on the forum... I don't want to abuse this threat, but I'm sure that with the wealth of knowledge on these boards, someone out there must be able to help! Does anyone out there have lunch or dinner menus from the Tensing Pen restaurant? Any information about how much their "cocktail hour" costs (both food and drinks - I'm assuming the prices on the website are no longer accurate since most other info there has changed)? Any information about the vendors Tensing Pen recommends for music and how much those cost? (Bands, musicians, DJs... anything would be helpful!) We're still trying to get information from the resort but not having any luck getting a response... if anyone out there knows anything, we would be GRATEFUL for your help! Thanks so much!
  4. I haven't heard anything in person, but it looks amazing and the reviews on Tripadvisor are terrific! I'm sure you saw this on the Inn's website: Travel & Leisure January 2008 awarded Jamaica Inn #1 in Jamaica, # 3 in the Caribbean, Bermuda and the Bahamas & # 49 in the World. In addition, Jamaica Inn was rated higher than any other hotel by Travel & Leisure Magazine on the islands of Anguilla, Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, Cayman islands, Nevis, Puerto Rico, St. Barts & the Turks & Caicos Jamaica Inn received the Jamaica's Leading Boutique Hotel award at the 2008 World Travel Awards. Modern Bride Dec 2008/Jan 2009 named Jamaica Inn as a Honeymoon Hot Spot. “Don’t let Jamaica Inn’s elegance fool you: This periwinkle retreat is friendly and fun, with a fab beach and Romantic Rooms & Cottages. Condé Nast Traveler November 2008 (Reader’s choice Awards) ranked Jamaica Inn #1 in Jamaica & #7 in the Caribbean. Good luck!
  5. Thanks so much for your help and sorry to start off on the wrong foot. I am (obviously) new to this and still trying to figure things out. I've searched the forums but haven't found any recent price-related info on TP... but I believe it must be in there somewhere, so I'll keep looking... Thanks again -- this forum is very helpful!
  6. Hello! My FI and I would love to get married at Tensing Pen and we've found an available date, but we can't get Sonia to answer our phone calls or emails. We want to go ahead and make our reservations soon, but we'd really like to see some information about wedding costs, packages, hidden fees, etc., before we do. Does anyone have information about weddings at Tensing Pen? Either something you received from TP/Sonia or your own thoughts, advice, or reflections? Anything you can provide would be much appreciated! Thanks so much!
