Okay, I know it sounds weird. But we're getting married aboard a cruise ship, and I have to have my hair and makeup ready by the time I get on board. Here's my question- I don't want my guests or FI to see me all ready (birdcage veil and all, since I'm scared to trust my friend to put it in right before the wedding), do you think I could pull off doing something to disguise myself? I was thinking maybe some sort of harem scarf over my face, or is this that too ridiculous? I mean, it will be the halloween cruise, but come on. Help!

Hi Girls, Sorry so long- I'm more of a lurker than a poster, but I have a in issue I need your help with. I've been planning a private excursion for my group- we're coming in for the day by cruise ship. I've been in touch with the tour guide for over a year now, and just as I'm confirming everything, he tells me he booked two randoms to come with us on our "private tour" because he forgot our tour was private. Needless to say I was pretty pi**ed off and sent him an email how disappointed I was. I just got an email back from him telling me that he's really sorry, and he's given the two randoms other options, or to let them cancel altogether, since it was his mistake. Now I feel bad. But I wanted the tour to be just our group, since our families are still getting to know each other. I don't need Jean from North Dakota crashing. What do you think, am I being a total b**** ? What would you do? I hope I posted this in the right spot!! TIA!

Hi Girls, I have about 50-60 plastic bottles for Message In a Bottle Invites. I bought these from another bride, but have decided to go with something different. I'm not sure the exact count, but there are about 60. They come with the corks, and I also bought some plastic heat shrink to seal the tops, so you can just send them in the mail, no box necessary. I took the to the post office to check and make sure. I want to let you know the bottles are a little yellow tinged, but I have soaked these to get off all excess residue, so they are clean and ready to go. I thought the yellowing added character, and since I was reusing, I was also being green! I'm asking $45 + shipping, which I'm estimating to be around $15. The heat shrink alone was about $20, so you''re getting an amazing deal! I'll also accept offers, Thanks girls! Hollie

I'm leaving out of the port of Long Beach. I think they have different rules for different ports.

What I did is plan a couple of excursions that I knew would be crowd pleasers, and then forwarded all the information to them, so they could book it on their own if they were interested. This way, no one feels obligated to go, since it is THEIR vacation as well, and you won't feel bad and be out of money if someone flakes out. Just a suggestion, and that way you have one less thing to plan!

Hi Girls, Need your opinions regarding our cruise wedding. We are having our wedding aboard a cruise ship before it leaves port, allowing us to have non-sailing guests to come on board for our ceremony and reception. Here's my question- am I supposed to pay for parking for my non-sailing guests? It's $15 per car, and I'm figuring there will be about 25 cars to pay for, which comes out to $375. Just for parking! This makes me sad. What do you think ladies? I need your opinions! Thanks!

Yeah, I was worried about the tempo as well while I was listening to it. I found a really nice acoustical version online that's just instrumental, so I think I'm going to use that one. And I'm definitely going to take the advice of a previous poster and just make a little statement before we start the dance as to why the song is significant. Thanks ladies, you're awesome!

I just wanted to give a thank you to all you awesome brides out there that have helped me so far. It's nice to have a place to talk wedding, especially since I can't talk to anyone else about it without getting an eye roll or a smart comment (my sis sucks!) How funny- I was reading this thread and for my "Do Not Play List" I have included both the Electric Slide AND the Chicken Dance as well as the Cha Cha Slide. We're having a cocktail reception, so I'm not thinking too many people are going to dance anyways. I would suggest you play a little from each genre- maybe some 80's along with some music of today, with a little bit of disco and hip hop mixed in. It doesn't matter if it's all over the place if people are shakin' it!
