Was your reception private or were there others in the restaurant? Also did you have to pay $20 a person on top of the $750 for the meal? Thanks again for your post!! I really can't WAIT for my day!! We did have a private function, and had the entire

Thanks a bunch! Tara How many people are you having? And which wedding package? We did the free wedding package, so I think we would have pretty much had to pay the private event fee for any setup besides the World Cafe (where you are dining with other resort guests). That being said, I think the setup by the relax pool is really pretty (see StarlitK 's review)! Smaller setups were done by

I think in hindsight, I would have liked the swimout room. This is because while my husband likes to sleep in, I am an early riser. I didn't always want to venture out to the pool or beach without him, so I'd stay in the room or read on the balcony. If we had the swim out
  11. Krista - I brought the sashes with me. I haven't gone through them yet to make sure I have them all, but there should be 40 which I will be selling here. Amy - Yes, the Seaside Grill was closed to other diners. I thought it was the perfect space, right on the beach, but not in the sand, and the pool bar was right there. Hopefully I will get some better pictures of the setup from the photographer.
  12. I just posted my review http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...17-09-a-52437/ I feel like there was a lot more I could say, but it seemed so long when it was all written out! Let me know if you have any questions. Like I said, I absolutely loved our wedding at DT, and would not have changed a thing! Thanks to all the previous brides whose ideas, designs and projects I copied as well! This thread and board in general was a lifesaver!
  13. We were married 11/17 at Dreams Tulum and had a fabulous time...here is my review! Travel/Transportation - 10/10 We booked air and land separately, as our guests were flying from all over. We flew on Delta, and had no major problems or delays, and were happy with their service. We had no problems with customs in Cancun, although the lady did stop me and ask why I had candles when my carry-on went through the scanner. I told her they were for a wedding, and she asked what other items I had. I hesitated, and said…a wedding dress? She said okay and motioned us to move forward to pre
  14. Northern Flasher - I wouldn't worry. You will receive an email from your wedding coordinator 4-6 weeks in advance of your date with a "contract". It is not actually a contract, but a questionnaire you fill out where you specify your choices on things like food, reception location, etc. Also you give them your guest count, arrival info, etc. And you can pretty much change things when you arrive and meet with your WC as well. You don't get a contract until you actually sit down with the WC and see the costs written out in front of you. Aliceo - my guests mostly booked through Apple Vacati
