Ok, so I am really new to this forum because we just decided on a DW last week but now my fiance is having second thoughts....well more than just second thoughts he really has changed his mind I think. It started because he was concerned about some specific people not being able to attend a DW which I get. I suggested we have a small legal thing here that he could invite only those close family members that would otherwise be left out to... well now that small group has grown to a list of 100! So, do we have 2 weddings or what? I guess the DW is more my dream than his but it is what I and my family REALLY want. Should I just give up in the interest of getting along? I kind of feel like he is trying to kill the DW w/o saying "no". Any help or ideas? Anyone else encountered something like this? How did you work it out? He is ok with the idea of having two weddings but I don'tknow that I am or that itwould be proper.

That's a good idea kaityko if we can't get her down there. Thank you all so much for your input! At this point I am thinking that I will try to get my uncle (her son) and my cousin to take care of her.... maybe she can even share their room. I did try to look into the shortest direct flights but the problem with flying out of OKC in the off season is that there are no direct flights and it is going to take 6-7hrs whether we got to Mexico or Jamaica.... If we had it during tghe travel season it would only be 2 hours or so to either but that wouldnt give pepole enough time to save up. We can request a floor on the ground level too... that will help.

The same with my Nana... she is fairly healthy and mobile. She still lives on her own and takes care of herself.

My Nana is 80 and is really concerned about making the trip. She helped raise me and not having her there is not an option for me. I was wondering if any of you have had experience in bringing elderly family members? What kind of special arrangements did you have to make? How did it work out? Any other ideas? This is really important... I will have to cancel my DW if we can't figure this out. Jenna Kennedy

My little sister and his 2 little sisters will be sharing a room. I will have them stay with me in the suite and he can sleep in their room for the night.

Thank you all! Yes, knowing my name is a good thing I have already learned a lot just lurking on here. One of the main reasons I want a DW is because we have been engaged sionce Nov and since then I have discovered that I am SO BAD at this whole wedding planning thing. This route just seems a lot easier and will be a little cheaper I think. Fair warning though, because I am no good at coming up with my own wedding stuff I will probably be the ultimate idea theif! Like the OOT bags... seriously that is fgreakin sweet and I would have never ever thought of it! Jenna Leigh
