hey kblocker, that is very informative! Thanks! I am getting married may 1, 2010 so haven't spoken to the wc yet, which is fine. I also was thinking of cecelia dumas -- she looks GREAT! Yes, the cd from the hotel is a great offer. I think I will end up doing an a la carte package instead of one of the combo ones (they came out with new ones so the catamaran ones I think you guys are doing is gone and they are all themed with colors -- it's actually kind of silly, I think) but anyways, I will I guess have to buy some package then through the hotel and consider doing what you are and a second round with cecilia the next day. The other thing that I don't know, which I will have to ask the wedding coordinator, is how much TIME does the photohrapher spend with you on say, package A. I see the number of prints you get but I want to know how long he/she will be there! Thanks again -- you guys are so helpful and I can't wait to hear all about how everything went! Jess

Hi IMP Brides- I'm new to the forum and planning way ahead (out of necessity) for May 1, 2010 at Isla Mujeres Palace. I would love to hear more info on how you booked your guests. I have been working with destinationweddings.com but I have read some bad reviews and now I am unsure (but there are also great reviews, conflicted!) and want my guests to have the best rates and service possible. Whatever info you have would be greatly appreciated! And I hope you'll share pics after your big day! congrats!

Hi Everyone, I'm Jess, planning a wedding Isla Mujeres (probably at IMP) for May 1, 2010. My fiance and I are both residents (physicians but the grueling part before you're an attending) so trying to plan this and do that has been exhausting. I have been thinking about using destinationweddings.com but now from this blog not sure if that is helpful or not. Did anyone use them and LIKE them? Also i know some of you are also planning isla mujeres, has anyone actually had a wedding there? Thanks! Jess
