I looked into getting married at the RIU in Aruba. We chose not too book it there because you had to have 10 rooms guaranteed to have your wedding there. I couldn't guarantee that. We are getting married 11/2009. We chose the Marriott Resort Aruba and Stellaris Casino. I've heard so many good things about. Go to tripadvisor and read what they have to say about the RIU. Just take everything with a grain of salt.... I think there are people who just like to complain. I swear by that website though. I have not been let down by using tripadvisor to help me find hotels. We were there about 2 yrs ago and stayed for a week. It was nice. The food was okay. Nothing to rave about. There are a lot of steps down to the beach, but we didn't care. The beach was perfect for us. We would stay there again if we went back. We were actually considering St John for our wedding. The most beautiful beaches. St Thomas has gorgeous beaches as well. Some of the nicest I've seen. Right up there with Bermuda. I think you would be very happy there. OH amyblant is right, there is not much to do at night. We wished there was a little something more going on at the resort. One night they had entertainment at the bar near the pool.

I have contacted both the Radisson and Lissy Lampe. Lissy has been very prompt with everything. I was told by the Radisson that my request has been forwarded to Vicky, but I have not heard anything yet. I would appreciate any information that you have. We are also looking into the Westin and Marriott as well. We are also planning a Nov 2009 wedding. What day is your wedding set for? Feel free to pm me. Thanks!!

Jen - Thanks so much for the information. I will look into the other 2 hotels that you mentioned. November is not a set time for our wedding. I think we are going to also look into the end of Aug beginning of Sept. Jen

I'm just starting my wedding planning. Hoping for 9/09 or 11/09. We weren't originally considering Aruba, but since I've been reading these posts, I might change my mind. Would anyone recommend an all inclusive? I like the thought of not worrying about going out to eat, etc. AI make things easier sometimes. Thanks!!

We've been considering getting married in Bermuda as well. We'd like to do it the beginning of Nov 2009. From different things I've read I've heard that Bermuda in Nov is not so great. Now I don't know what to do. The reefs does look beautiful. I just don't think we would be able to have our wedding on the beach there like we'd like. Too many people coming with us. I was in Bermuda about 15 yrs ago and it was BEAUTIFUL. The beaches are gorgeous. We don't plan on taking a cruise. Flying in and staying at a hotel. I'm so confused on what to do.
