Hey ladies, Looks like there are quite a few of us out there. We are planning on getting married at Moon Palace in Cancun 1/8 2010. I missed the cut off by just a week. I am at a standstill with planning. I felt that I could not really work on anything until I have the date locked down. I guess I could start working on our wedding website. Has anyone started working on theirs yet? If so do you have any good recommendations of companies to use? Best of luck to everyone….I hope we all get the dates we are hoping for!

That's a cute idea! I could see how that would be hard to come up with. I am going to keep thinking on this one. I like what you have going on but think it might sound a bit better if you add a few more words to some of the sections so it's not as choppy. Hope that's ok that I said that....I mean it in the kindest way. Just want to share since you asked. If you leave it as it I'm sure your guest will LOVE it!

For all the 2010 brides.... We have moved our wedding up a few month to Jan 2010 (originally Nov 2009) since we not able to get the time we wanted in Nov. I have been in contact with the Miami office and was told they will have the new packages by March or April. So if you are looking at booking a wedding during 2010 you should try to contact them in March or April...or later. Otherwise they cannot book it. Ahhh, I was really hoping to get the contract signed this week so I cannot think about wedding stuff for awhile. Oh well what can you do.

Emaya 77: I sent my reservation request in on Monday and still have not heard back from them. I have heard back from MP though. They have the date I want but not the time. We are shooting now for Jan of 2010 in hopes that we can get the time we want. Still waiting to hear back about it. I have read on the palace website that you should book your day a year in advance if possible since 4:00pm (the most popular time) usually fills up fast. I would send them a reservation request and see what happens. I am torn myself as to which palace resort I want. Since I am in contact with MP I am leaning more towards having the wedding their but I still am in LOVE with Playacar. I just wonder…..it there a reason why there are only a handful of us interested in getting married at PP. I do not have a TA. I was thinking about not getting one but I think it is a must so it’s something I need to look into. How did you find yours? Good luck with your planning and keep me posted.

Well I got word back from MP. They have the date I want but not the time. I have sent them another e-mail asking for the time I would like on diff. days. I am thinking about just calling them but don’t want to be too pushy this early in the game. Ok here are my questions for the day: 1. To veil or not to veil? I have a veil that I bought b4 I knew I would be getting married in Mexico with blowing winds. Are you ladies doing veils? It seems like they look great in some videos and pictures and in others the brides are doing all they can to keep them out of their faces. I have found someone that does beautiful bird cages vales. I was thinking about doing one of them but I am still on the fence. 2. Have you seen the beach at MP b4? I have read some reviews on tripadvisor and it seems that it is not the best. Are you concerned about this? 3. Bug bites…I have also read some reviews from people that have gotten really really bad bug bites. They are not sure if it’s sand flees or bed bugs but have all said it was painful. We have a lot of older people attending the wedding and I am now concerned for them. I can take a few days of itching but I would feel bad for my guest. Do you know anything about this or have experience with it? 4. Photogs….if you have been married at MP and just used their photography package were you happy with it? I am really trying to keep the cost down and this would be nice if I didn’t need to bring someone in from outside. 5. What package are you doing? That is a good idea. I have not looked into caterers yet but have heard from a few friends of a few places that quote reasonable prices. I am just worrying about having a place for everyone to sit if we do a full meal.
