Hello fellow DWers! Our wedding is planned for May 1st, 2009 at the Dreams Punta Cana Resort and Spa with about 30-40 guests. I have chosen the colors Fuchsia/Aqua Blue/Spring Green for the wedding and am trying to figure out what decorations to bring with me for the ceremony and reception that are simple, easy to take with us and affordable.... yet elegant and beachy. Since we have such a long ways to travel (and we're packing for a 2 week vacation) I am trying to gather ideas that are inexpensive and transportable. Any thoughts or ideas on this?! What are you all doing?!

I am not a Sandals bride, but am a Sandals honeymooner, the Sandles Grande in St. Lucia for May 2009! We are having a hard time figuring out how to get the best deal on the best rooms, or at least what our options are. We are on a tight budget and are currently booked for just the regular rooms there. Thoughts or suggestions on this? Any ideas?! Thanks!!!

We actually requested our ceremony and reception location in advance, when we booked our date with them of May 1st, 2009. We requested our time and location of ceremony (5pm on the beach) and the terrace (Bordeaux) that we wanted for the reception. Hmmmm..... seems odd that they are handling this two different ways. I haven't been in contact with the WC there as of yet b/c we need to get through the hussle and bussle of the holidays, but after the 1st of the year, I will be contacting her and hoping that what we asked for and reserved will be honored! Shelley, thank you SO MUCH for all the information you provided, it helped me/us immensly with figuring out what we would like to do for our big day!

Thanks for the information Shelley and congratz on your recent marriage! How was the wedding and how was the Dreams Punta Cana resort? Did you and your guests love it?! Any warnings or suggestions? Day by day we are more excited about our wedding there on May 1st..... Hello ladies! For previous brides or people who have been there, do you have recommendations on where to have a wedding reception there? We are considering the Bordeaux Terrace or the Boda Terrace. The wedding planner on site recommends the Bordeaux Terrace (french restuarant). We will have about 40 guests. We obviously want the reception location to be beautiful and just plain nice. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Nicole
