I require a 25% retainer to hold their wedding date. Then another payment around 4-5 months before the wedding. Then their final remaining balance is due 30 days before the wedding. I am sure they *might* be able to get your your images at the very least but if it were me, I'd also probably be charging a rush fee. I am sure this depends on the situation and the photographer so I can only speak for myself.

Wanting the payment before the wedding date is pretty standard though. If your photographer has good reviews and isn't just some random of the street I'd say you're in good hands.

Those are ADORABLE! Seriously, sometimes I want to get married all over again so I can do these fun things again! (i know, i'm slightly crazy LOL)

I was there last October for a wedding and LOVE IT. The beach gazebo is absolutely amazing for a wedding and especially the walk way down to the gazeboo! Definitely a highly recommended resort on my behalf.

Just got back from shooting Jennierin's wedding! (hiiiiiiii girl)

So definitely another amazing Melia trip! From a vendor standpoint, I love the resort as always!

Flying someone in from the states is always another option. There are a ton of people to pick from!

Antigua is AMAZING for a wedding! I just shot a wedding there and it was beyond amazing. Very tropical and the people are amazing! I had some time to explore some other venues while there as well, let me know if you have any ?'s.

my BG had music played during their cocktail hour. Do believe it was their own though, so that is an option (ie ipod)

I did them for my wedding and my guests loved them. I also see a lot of my wedding clients doing them.

Water, fruit snacks, advil, pepto, pen, spanish book for dummies, sunscreen. I've also seen some done with local flair. Tequila or little knick knacks they picked up when they got to their dw.

I would agree on bringing someone in BUT if you really like someone over there and their work, go for it!

They decided to see eachother beforehand. These are on the royal suites side on a little side path.

I love cabana beds These are all over but there was a little more privacy on the royal suites side.
