  1. We were at a wedding at the Tucan/Quetzal 3 years ago, and it's what inspired us to do a DW ourselves. It was gorgeous - even though the trees were still damaged post hurricane - the ceremony was lovely, the beach was gorgeous. Dinner was at the steakhouse, and then we had 2hrs at the disco before it opened - perfect amount of time for dances, some private partying, and then when the disco opened, lots of people stayed, but the parents, kids, etc, all left.
  2. We just got back yesterday from a wedding at ROR - my girlfriend chose the beach location, but did the tropical arch. I agree that the gazebo looks quite banged up ... that would have bothered me also! However - you can be grateful that you only had the 'edge dwellers' during your ceremony - at the wedding we were at, there were also a couple shabby looking sea-doos parked right behind where the ceremony was as well ... maybe the ROR just needs to work on the beach locale in general!!! As an aside ...you look gorgeous ... and the gazebo comes out lovely in the pictures! I'm off to read your review now!
  3. My brother had 2 GM for each BM, 2 Best Men, 1 MOH, and even 2 ringbearers and 1 FG ... it worked out perfectly, and was unplanned. SIL even has '2 dads' her bio-dad and a step who raised her ... the pictures were really nice and balanced looking too.
  4. It's very pretty - simple, classic. Can you tell me what it's used for (sorry, I just don't know!)
  5. Bon Jovi - Thank You for Loving Me - I'm sure it's supposed to be a romantic love, but it I think works for father/daughter too When I got married the first time our son was 1 year old, and my Dad had just passed away, so I danced with the baby - to Shameless by Garth Brooks, again, a romantic love that works for a parent/child relationship It was a tear-jerker too!
  6. We are looking at the Mayan Riviera - or Riviera Maya, as I sometimes see ... for end of November, beginning of December 2009. We've stayed in the area before (Cancun, and IB - Quetzal), and love it. Any advice on locations is much appreciated - we're currently thinking Tulum or Aukumal. Looking forward to learning lots, and spending lots of time here .... Shannon
