  1. Hello! I will be getting married at the RPRM on April 18th. All of your posts have been very helpful, so thanks! I am looking into photographers/videographers right now and I was wondering who was the resort photographer at your wedding Archie510? Also, did you or is anyone hiring a videographer? I know the Caprice Package includes 45 min of videography, does anyone of an opinion on the quality of the resort's videography?
  2. I was wondering if anyone has ever been on any of the luxury dinner cruise on a yacht in Cancun? The two I am looking at right now for my reception dinner is this 90' Luxury Yacht Private Charter where it takes you around Cancun for about 2.5-3 hours and they provide music and you can either order lobster, steak, or a surf and turf dinner. Here is the link to their website, I'd like to know if you've been on this dinner cruise, what you think of it and if you'd recommend it for a wedding dinner reception for about 40-50guests. From the Riu Palace Riviera Maya (RPRM), the trip there is about 1 hour. Cancun Luxury Yacht Charter - Dinner Cruises, Snorkeling The other dinner cruise I am looking at is this tour cruise and it takes you to a private island for dinner: If anyone has been on this tour/dinner cruise before, please also let me know what you think of it and if it's a good idea for a wedding reception or even as a group activity the day before the wedding. This one is half an hour from RPRM. Cancun Sunset Cruise - Catamaran Tour Thanks!!
  3. Wow I really like your pictures and bouquet! You look so beautiful! I am getting married at RPRM April 2009 and i was a little nervous about the flowers and the photography, but seeing your pictures make me feel more at ease about it! Thanks!
  4. Hey I was upset too when I discovered this a few weeks ago too and have been trying to think of a way around it. I asked the RIu and they said they have two photographers that the resort work with. I checked out both their websites, and honestly, their pictures aren't too bad. Of the two, I like Juan's pictures better, I've emailed him with a few questions, but he hasn't replied. Here are their websites and email addresses. Check them out and see if you will be ok with either of them. And they offer their own wedding packages as well, so in addition to the ones that comes with your wedding package, you can get additional coverage. I am hoping they'll use better cameras for their own wedding packages. Pictures are a huge deal to me too, so I totally understand why you'd be so upset. Thanks by the way for the FAQ you sent me, very informative!
  5. Helloo everyone! I am new to this forum, I wish I knew about it earlier, I could've done so much of my DW research here! Oh well, glad I found it now! My name is Jin and I will be getting married on April 18, 2009 at the Riu Palace Riviera Maya. If you've had your wedding there before and have any tips or warnings about what to expect, I'd appreciate it if you share with me! I am a little apprehensive because the wedding coordinators there won't contact you til a month or two before the wedding and I want to get the detail hammered out now so I don't have to be so stressed a month beforehand. Anyways, I am looking forward to receiving some help and offering any help i can to you all!! Thanks!
