These girls will keep you sane I have already gotten married at Azul and I absolutely LOVED It. I have to agree that packages are pretty pricy and just when you think you paid for everything...you go the meeting a couple days before and drop an unexpected $2,000 for basically nothing. I had the MOST perfect day ever! I SWEAR not one thing went wrong. The resort is georgeous and VERY clean. The only complaint I have would be the entertainment. There is ONE show every night, but it's more geared towards older people. The pools close around 6pm so after that you go to dinner and possibly go to the show if you want to. I spent everyday at the pool, took a nap, dinner, show, bed. My guests loved it too. The wedding was perfect. DO NOT WORRY! Their is a wedding coordinator on site at the wedding and the reception. No need to worry PROMISE! I have been to dreams as well. not nearly as nice or friendly! Good luck!

That is true...you pay 2 times. I had yellow bows for the ceremony, but to save some money we did white bows for the reseption. They are cheaper but not much!

Sorry it took so long to respond...I had a personal heart cake. The one that comes with the gold package. We did teramisu for the guests as part of their entrees. No one ate desert because they were having too much fun. One of the best decisions I made.
  4. ps...i am super fair skin and i had the best tan of my life NO JOKE! Just put on sun screen and you will be fine!

So I guess my next biggest fear is TAN LINES!! LOL. I have such fair skin and I burn so easily. I bought enough tube tops and strapless bikinis to get me through until Thurs lol! I think the best thing we ever did was go down the Friday before the wedding. We had time to relax and take it all in. After our guests left it wasn't as fun. Kinda felt blahhh because the wedding talk was all over. I am glad you get to go down early

And, a positive is that you are saving a ton of money having only 7 people! I had 40 guests. BUt 16 of them were in my wedding. So it only looked like 20.

I saw in your pics that you had a pretty big group, so everything looked perfect! All I can picture for mine is 2 people sitting there looking at us thinking "OMG this is so lame". yeah.....i'm starting to get stressed out. Since we're such a small group I have opted to go the spoon restaurant route for dinner. From what I understand this isn't a popular choice. Did you happen to see anyone do this the week you were there? Nicole....group or no group, this day is about you and your husband. I understand how you feel...but on the day of...when you see your husband standing there you will not care about anything else. I PROMISE!!! Even if you have a small group the resort makes it look like a lot more plus when you are having your wedding there are guests watching too From up top. As far as dinner...I would recommend you have it at the italian place or Tapez Restaurant. Spoon is very nice but that is the place most people go to breakfast every morning. I did have my rehersal dinner at Spoon and it was very nice at dinner time. Please do not stress...I PROMISE all will be perfect the day of. When are you getting there? When is the wedding?

I brought a picture to my rehersal and they could not even come close to it. Let them show you what they are good at and choose from their pics. Thats what we did for the day of and all my girls looked great!
  10. Hi Girls, I have been married since 6/26/09. I know I am a new bride but I wanted to comment too I was so excited for the wedding at Azul Sensatori, and it was PERFECT. Not just because it was my day...but it REALLY WAS. I am SO over all of the wedding planning. I am working on my sister's wedding now. She gets married in November. I really hate planning wedding after how long and stressful mine was, but I'm trying to stay happy and help out where I can. My husband and I just bought a condo. We wanted to buy a house but it's just so crazy with all the money we spent on the wedding it's nearly impossibly to come up with all the settlement money. Basically since the wedding has been over we have been dealing with the condo stuff non-stop. I am wondering at what point do things calm down and I can enjoy the marriage. Any advise?
  11. Would anybody be interested in getting OOT bags done? My girlfriend did them for me. They were an amazing gift for guests. EVERYONE used one. If your interested...PM me and I will give you her link and email. This is the one she did for me.

I know what you mean about extra baggage fees... it seema as if the majority of my guests are going down on the same flight, so I may be sending extra checked baggage with some of them -I'm sure the guys are only bringing one suitcase and can accommodate a second!? I'll brib them with Tequila shots! Sorry about that. Here ya go. Let me know if it works: http://mexicanweddingphotos.com/edua...annon_jeffrey/ Username: mwp_bride Password: Mwp77500

  19. Ps. TIP your roomservice person. It goes a LONG WAY. I do not want to give away all the suprises, but our wedding night our room was AMAZING! Totally worth all the money you will spend.
  20. Hi Girls...so I am finally sitting down to write my wedding review. First let me say that my wedding was breath taking. There is NOTHING to worry about. Roberto and Veronica were our on site coordinators. They are VERY organized and so polite. Lets start with day one. We arrived on the Friday before the wedding and had our guests arrive on Sunday. This was def the best thing we could have done. We had 50 guest arriving and thank god we had our alone time because when guests arrive you are always entertaining. We were greeted with Champagne and cold towels. This was not always the case as I noticed some of our guests arrived at a more busier time and there was no champagne or towels presented to them. We had our wedding meeting Monday at 11am. When we checked in the first day they gave us a letter from the wedding coordinators with the blood test and wedding meeting times for the witnesses. Witnesses only stayed for 10 minutes and then they let them go and you and your husband finished verifying everything. It took about 2 hours total. Jumping to the following Friday (Our wedding Day). I had set up for all 5 of my girls, and my mom, Jeff's Mom and my Step Mom to get hair and make up done. We started the appointments at 9am and we were done at 3:00pm. They had two girls working on us and they did a fabulous job. I had my rehearsal hair done the day before and I was very disappointed as I brought a pic for them and it did not come out even close. I was SO scared for the wedding day. I would DEF recommend choosing from their styles as these are the ones they are good at. The make up was done perfect for all the girls. As far as the nails go....not a great idea to get them done there. Did not care for mine at all. The toes were perfect though. So I went with "Mexican Wedding Photo" and they were amazing. They caught every shot I could possibly want, and they were always there at the perfect time. They were a little late and did not get my husband getting ready but that was because they did not know I was at the Spa. Anyways...they said "I was theirs" so whatever I wanted them to do they would do. The only problem I did have was that they did not recommend any types of poses. I made them all up, which I thought was weird. They did not speak good English but enough to get by. I just got the pics overnighted to me and they charged me $60.00 to Fed Ex them. I will share the link as soon as I get it. The wedding was perfect, music was amazing and there is no reason to worry. I had a CD made up with all of our ceremony songs and labeled them. Roberto and Veronica really knew what they were doing. No need to have a guest take care of it. Jeff and I read our own vows and they had us say theirs as well. I asked for this and they did do it for us. We had 15 guests arrive on one day and we tried to have dinner at the seafood place and they would not let us all sit at one table. We saw two managers and no one would let us. They are very strict on that policy. PROS The rooms are beautiful. You bring the party with you. Everyone is SOOOO nice. You should meet Lazer (Bell boy) so nice! Everything was perfect. They cons above are NOTHING compared to the good times and good people we met. Hope this helps. Please feel free to ask me any questions. THE END!
  21. Well girls....I just got in last night at 2am. I had an AMAZING time. I am waiting on pictures back but all I can say is....everything was PERFECT. I am picky and I loved everything about the resort and my wedding was more then PERFECT! I'll post the details very soon! Nothing to worry about
  22. Hey Girls...I'm leaving for Mexico Friday. Can not wait!!! I will post my review and pictures when I return. Can't believe it is FINALLY here I get married June 26th!
  23. I sent this info to my guests. I get married in 60 days and all my guests are freaking out. I really feel horrible for the girls getting married in a few days or weeks. I'm so sorry you have to go through all this. I think everything will be completly fine if you just have your guests get prepared "just in case" Cancun and Swine Flu: Should You Be Concerned ?

Good news is that it looks like they are constantly improving... Bree...my Wedding coordinator said the site will be ready in two weeks and we can reserve it for our june wedding. We did not choose to reserve it, however, it will be ready in two weeks. As far as the plumbing...i have not heard anything. I am curious to know too!
