  1. Hi Ava! I am getting married at the Riu Jalisco on Feb 4, 2009, a few months before you. This is what I have heard regarding the beer and wine, and that is that the selection is basically Corona and one other and the wine isnt really all that terrific. Someone made the suggestion that they went into town and purchased their own wine and the bar was more than happy to chill it for them and even serve it (they tipped). I got that information from tripadvisor.com so it is obviously third hand =)
  2. Thank you for posting your wedding and critique, it is extremely helpful to those of us still planning! Your wedding was beautiful We are getting married on February 4, 2009 at the Riu Jalisco. I had a couple questions for anyone who may know the answers 1. We wanted our ceremony on the beach and I was wondering if there were options for the type of "covering" for ministers table and our wedding party. I was hoping for more than just a couple palm fronds, more like white fabric and a little more substance 2. We really want a string trio/quartet and I have seen on another site that it was an option in PV, but I wanted to be sure we could really get that as I have my heart set on it =) 3. Was your cake easy to choose, meaning a number of options? Thank you so much for any information you can provide
  3. We are getting married February 4, 2009 at the Riu Jalisco, in Puerto Vallarta. After going through every romantic song I could find, I decided on "Come Away with Me" by Norah Jones. I think its really beautiful and fits with our wedding perfectly
