Hi, my name is Desiree. I got enaged late August of last year to my bf of over 8 years We started planning right away and quickly got in over our heads. We realized that a large wedding with our whole family and all of our friends would not be affordable by any means.. especially as we took a break from school and were planning to head back to finish up our last year and a half. With a little under 1 year of school left and after attending a few of our friends weddings, we decided to dive back in. We realized we want to share this special day with just very close family and friends (about 25-30 people) on a nice beach somewhere ... and have a laid back reception at home when we get back.
We have no set date, but we will be graduating by summer 09, so we are thinking August 2009. We unfortunately can't afford time off from school to plan a trip to check out resorts, and FI has never really traveled outside of the U.S., so he has no idea what to expect. We have been looking into the Dreams Los Cabo and are quite impressed. Really, we are just looking for a nice, affordable destination wedding. So any and all advice is greatly appreciated and welcome!
