I love how your wedding is still 4 months out and you're further along that most of us I'm envious, I wish everything was done! I always feel so much better having things done early...I'm not a last minute type person with anything. I am still stuck on centerpieces though! I wanted to do something like what are you doing...floating candles in a tall clear cylinder vase with flowers or something underneath the candle, but I can not find vases like the ones I want anywhere! Any suggestions?

You should check out Mexican Wedding Photos (link on the ads here), they have a few AB and AS weddings to view. Also, the wedding pix on this site from other brides even at other resorts and outside of Mexico I found helpdful. I think I over looked at pictures when I was too early in the planning process and confused the hell out of myself. I changed my mind like every day. Now I am doing simple white sheets on the wedding chuuppah and white Gladiolas in big vases at the base of the front posts. Wooden wedding plank and uncovered chairs without bows. I think I am going for the simple look? I really wish I had a theme.... I saw Alice in Wonderland last night and thought that would be an awesome theme for a wedding - esp if you had little cup cakes for the cake and little bottles of tequila for the favors. What are you doing for centerpieces? That's the one thing I am still stuck on.
  4. Can anyone tell me how to Multi Quote? I don't understand how to do it. I like the MQ icon, but I dont know what to do after that.

I am bringing an ipod and we are going to rent their sound equipment which is $250 for four hours and $75 for an additional 1.5 hours. If you bring your own DJ, you will be charged an additional $500 from Karisma.

  9. Happy wedding day Lolo!!!! Can't wait to hear about it when you get back

The only person that said it would be ok was our old TA who gave me alot of wrong information. It also worked out good for us b/c we would have to get it blessed when we came back plus my & FI's mom are happy that it is in the church first. I figure I can make them happy for this. I have been looking at pictures of the beach ceremony and I notice all of the pictures have a wooden runner but all the packages include a red carpet. What are you guys having as a runner? Have you seen what the red carpet looks like? We were going to have the Sky Wedding but decided b/c of money to do it on the beach. I had the wooden runner already in my mind but if the red carpet looks ok, I will go with that. I can't remember what it is called, but we are having one of the cloth runners that comes in pastel colours (we chose aqua)

We're putting so much into the Mexico ceremony (we've asked my brother to officiate in Mexico and we're writing the ceremony ourselves, for example), and we're putting nothing into our legal ceremony. So, our families have been okay with it thus far. We're treating Mexico like it is our legal ceremony; it's the one with meaning in our books. However, no one knows when we're actually going to the JP. That's our little secret Just wondering why so many of you chose to do the symbolic ceremony instead of the llegal ceremony?

  14. Very exciting Katie! That's fantastic that you have lost weight! You must be happy with that! And i'm sure it's a better feeling to have it taken in than having it too tight lol

So does this include the actual DINNER, or just the private reception (meaning drinks, tables, UTENSILS-gee, thanks!, and chairs)? Do I have to pay above and beyond that for the actual FOOD? Pleeease help No, you do not have to pay extra for the food. I am doing the same private reception as you, but mine is $12 pp instead of 14 because I booked almost 2 years ago when prices were cheaper. That amount includes the food, plus everything else you listed.

We added it up and in total our party is paying over $24,000 just for the rooms. We will have almost 15% of the rooms at the resort while we're there. We helped get them to capacity, and now that they're operating at full capacity, we get screwed. There are not enough censors for what I'm feeling toward them!! Did you talk to Fabio? When they changed a policy on me, my TA called the head wedding coordinator and it was agreed upon that because they had told me in writing I could have one thing, they could not go back on it. I can't believe they are doing that to you!

This is the only outside location they have unless we want to be on the beach. I am so so so so so mad. Get on the phone and call Fabio....I dealt with them changing their photographer policy on me after I had already booked one and it had been okayed with them, then they said no. I fought it big time and got it back to what they had originally said. Grace was the one who was in charge back then...not sure if she is still.
  18. Tiffany is my WC as well, and she told me the ceremony is 30 minutes....I"m getting married on the beach. I'm sure that there will be no problem for set up. I have only heard good things about the onsite planning and I dont think they would screw you over like that. You need to talk to Fabio I think about Tiffany. I have asked her flat out three times. Her latest response was "There will be time for your set up to be done on the Sky Deck. The on site team is prepared for situations like this." Umm...that still doesn't directly answer my question but I'll assume that it means that the other wedding will also take place on the Sky Deck. Assuming that they'll be up there for an hour, that really leaves very little time to break down that party's decorations and put mine up. Very, very annoying. Uggh, I guess I'm just hitting a stroke of bad luck or am in a particualry foul mood today. My TA (I'm using Camille at Destination Weddings) hasd been very short with my guests when they call, or is taking 5 days to return their calls and emails. Also, for those that want to book directly through her she is cutting them off and telling them to go to the DW site. How annoying! I want my guests to feel taken care ofand considering that a large number of my guests rarely travel this is a big expense and hassle for some of them. I think that the least that she should do is answer their questions and help them with the booking process. I mean, that's her job right? I sent her an email last night to say all of this and, surprise, I still haven't heard back. Someone please tell me I'm crazy and I'll chill out. Otherwise, I think I might ask to switch both my WC and TA. Does anyone know who to call about Tiffany at Karisma? Anyone have a TA at Destination Weddings that they like working with? Ahh...sorry for the rant. I guess it is just one of those days. Thanks everyone!

I think they would be super cute pink. Have you asked if they can be dyed? It didn't say anything on the site about them being made out of dyable silk. I think if you take it to a shoe maker, they will be able to tell you if it will work to dye them with all the detail
