  1. Hi! We get them cheaper from a guy we know, Javier. Problem is he speaks very little English, here is he's phone number 624 12 999 18 Happy Planning!
  2. The wedding coordinator may be a little bit busy, but be sure she'll answer you promptly. Cabo Azul is a beautiful location with great views and excellent service, I'll love working with them since the chapel is beyond gorgeous. I have some pictures at my facebook page of recent events, so you can get a better idea of the location. Good luck!
  3. Depending on how early you want to start the party, but here is my recommendation: 1) Start a Medano Beach at Mango deck (happy hour all day, yummi Margaritas!!) fun restaurant right in the beach, were you can chill have some lunch and drinks. Make sure you put sunblock you don't want to be a red tomato in your wedding pics. 2) Go back to the hotel once the sun goes down, and get ready for clubbing. 3) Start at Nowhere bar, but club hop, this is the way of the locals. All the following clubs are in walking distance and don't charge cover: Squid Roe, Mandala, Pink Kitty and Las Quesadillas (they have a salsa band on Saturdays). PS. Most clubs end the party and they sell alcohol all the way to 4 am, so the party will be as long as you ladies want. Careful with the taxi back to the resort, they tend to overcharge to tourists that look tipsy.
  4. I have a check list of the documentation needed for the civil marriage that you might find useful. Good luck! Requirements for legal marriage.pdf
  5. Why don't you try their phone number? +52 (624) 104-3252 and +52 (624) 104-3334. Good luck!
  6. Hi Cammie, Thank you for all your kind words. I'm so glad you had the perfect day, that's after all our job. Congratulations and best wishes to you and your husband. Sincerily, Claudia.

Thanks so much for any help you may provide!! For authentic Mexican food in Cabo try "La Fonda". It's not very big, but ifg you book it with time you might get a good deal. Besides the decor is so nice, you will have a beutiful background for pictures. It's not in the touristic area, but all the taxi drivers know how to get there. I've been living here for over 10 years and is one of my personal favorites. Tip: ask for the elote flan, it's delicious!!! La Fonda Restaurant - Cabo San Lucas, Los Cabos, Mexico

I love the flowers in your hair, you looked beautiful! If you like the idea of natural flowers I would recommend white dendrobium (a type of orchids), they look gorgeus and elegant. Most of the brides I've worked with, love this option. I attach a picture for you to give an idea of what I'm talking about. Let me know if there's anything I can help and Happy planning!

I would recommend to have a plan b (nice sandals, just in case) or have the hotel's staff to wet the sand a little bit before the ceremony. Good luck!

Kelley At my daughters wedding I had 120 people and what I did was to have 12 round tables for 10 people each. At the entrance of the reception area I had a table with a nice picture of my daughter and her husband, and little umbrellas (those you get in your drinks) with peoples names and a number on it. Each table had a number too. Nothing crazy, simple but effective. Good luck!

I agree with Tammy, that people tend to exaggerate the situation sometimes. I have been living in Cabo for over 10 years and neither me or my family ever heard of a situation like this. It's just basic common sense. If you don't want trouble, don't look for trouble. Don't drink till you pass out in a Club and you'll be fine. And the kidnapping you guys hear on TV is in Mexico city, and to victims are usually big company's owners or their families that can pay millionaire ransoms, never tourists, trust me on that one.

I think it's more intimate the bonfire and probably goes more with a lay-back atmosphere that people look for when planning a DW. You're already paying dinner for 100+ people, and since my daughter that just got married had 120 guests, I can tell you from experience that it's expensive business getting a big wedding. Remember at the end of the day, it's supposed to be all about having fun! I personally think it's a great idea, I love bonfires! Good luck!

There is one Sat. that is REALLY inconvenient for us, but it's available. If Friday weddings don't sound appealing, I guess I will just take the Sat. one... It's gotta be at Dreams?? Why don't you try other Hotels with nice views like Hilton, it's just a few miles next to Dreams, so the beach is the same pretty much (we did a wedding there once, and it was beautiful). Have you tried Westin Regina? The architecture in that Hotel is award-winner and a perfect location for beautiful pictures. I can recommend lots of hotels, most of them I've work in, and maybe you'll find a place that can accommodate to YOUR requirements not theirs. Let me know if there's something I can help with. Good luck to everybody! This web page (Sunrise, Sunset Calendars and Local Time) considers the DST (Daylight Saving Time) +/- 1 hour. That's probably the difference, because all the other pages don't do it. That's why I thought this one would it be the more accurate one. In Mexico, the DST starts the first sunday of March. Good Luck and happy planning!

Also, is there anywhere that sells mini bottles?? **I did a search on this topic and could not find anything really helpful...so i apologize if there IS something out there that I happened to miss that answers my question!** The small Tequila bottles, I agree with other posts and totally recommend buying them at "La Europea". It's a liquor store in the Cabo San Lucas surroundings. This would it be the cheapest option for that. If you want to add the typical Mexican shot glass, I recommend to buy them at the Flea Market, in the Cabo San Lucas' Marina . You can find those practically everywhere, but there I think you can find the best prices. I would like to recommend you too, that when shopping in Cabo, is better to exchange your money at the airport, because sometimes the exchange rates in the stores are a total rip off. Hope you find this information useful! THE FLEA MARKET: Come with your beach bag empty so you will have extra room for goodies when you go home. Typical handmade Mexican crafts can be found here, few really unique items, but many nicely made textiles, straw hats and silver jewelry. Pick a soft shawl or a bracelet to go with your dinner outfit, or think ahead a bit further and select some pottery to take home. Credit card acceptance varies by vendor. All will accept United States dollars but beware of poor exchange rates. Boulevard Marina in Cabo San Lucas.

  19. Just for you to take in account that Mexico does follow the daylight saving time, so be careful with the information in the web pages, they may not be considering this. Happy planning!

After much back and forth and frustration, we ended up not signing the contract and our guests booked the package deals and saved over $100/nt on their rooms. Too bad for CAR for not working with us. I hope you can work out your issues with Sheraton. Here's another issue we are having with negotiations: The manager at our reception site will not let us use the existing chairs for our receptions and we must bring chairs in! WTF is that! We booked the resort and site because we loved the look/decor, now we have to go with "wedding" chairs. If we wanted that, we would have booked elsewhere or just had the wedding here. It's like we are bringing so much money to the resort, you think they would be willing to work more with you on things...like chairs and a wedding cake! I hope it works out! I don't know about Sheraton but Cabo Azul is a time share resort and it's possible that the rates your guest got where cheaper when they booked directly with the hotel because they have to go to a timeshare breakfast. If you don't agree to it you need to pay a more expensive rate. This because the timeshare people pay the difference between the "promotion" rate and the real one. When they book groups they aren't obligated to go to the timeshare breakfast, so that could be why the rates where more expensive. About the chairs I don't know what to tell you, that should be included in the price. Of all the weddings I have set up at different hotels in the area, this is the first time I heard of something like this. Hope you can get to an agreement with the resort and good luck!
  21. Hi, The good thing about Cabo San Lucas night life is that you can easily move from one bar to another. Most of the big ones (Cabo Wabo, Squid Roe, Zoo, Gigglin Marlin, etc) are at walking distance from each other and you don't have to pay anything to get in. Last time I was in Vegas I hated I have to pay at least $20 dollars to get into a club and once your in you realize is not a good one. Back to the subject, no worries, chose anyone to start and as someone else says, do some bar hopping'. Have fun!
  22. Hi, If you found that the Tequila tasting at Pancho's is out of your budget, there's a couple of tequila stores in town and they can help you decide which tequila to buy and give you some tips so you can perform it yourself. There's some flavor tequilas (coffee, raspberry, etc), that could be interesting to try along a high end one. My personal favorite is "Don Julio" reposado. Let me know if you need more info about the place, there's one a block away from my store, in downtown San Jose with a pretty respectable selection of Tequila bottles. Happy planning!
  23. Hi Bryan, It's pretty easy to get around here in Cabo, just in case you decide to rent a car. There is only one highway to connect San Jose and Cabo San Lucas and all the attractions are downtown San Lucas or Cabo San Lucas. Just in case you decide to rent a car, beware of the car rental "deals" offered at the airport, they're time share people and you don't wanna waste any time before your wedding day. About taxis, if you need to go somewhere and you didn't pre-paid your transportation, you need to take a taxi because that was the agreement between taxis and transportation companies. Happy planning!

The food is Mexican style too and I found it less expensive and a best deal than "Tequila". If budget is not a problem try "Don Emilianos" in downtown San Jose as well or "La Fonda" at Cabo San Lucas. Great food, but could get expensive for big groups.
  25. I would recommend Baja Weddings (ask for Coleen, the owner), but each Resort has their own WC and it comes with the Wedding Package, so check that option too. Good luck and happy planning!
