  1. I am selling my flowers. Here is the thread. Let me know if you have any questions. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t46971
  2. I am selling my flowers. They are mostly orange with some red. The ribbon is ivory, but could be easily changed to a different color. I would like to sell them all together for $75.00 plus shipping. This is the bouquet: I have 1 corsage like this: and 3 like this: Long line bra, size 36B, worn 1 time $25.00 plus shipping David’s Bridal Dress style T9168 without train in Ivory with Champagne trim. Size: 8, street size 4/6. Paid $400, asking $175 plus shipping. The dress has not been dry cleaned.
  3. Thanks everyone for your comments! Even though it would probably be fine, I have decided against it because I think I will feel very self concious about it the whole time. I'll just have to wear them another time!
  4. I don't really know the bride well enough to ask her. It is an at home wedding, but they are having it on the beach. I don't think we're going to the actual wedding, just to the reception. I definately wouldn't wear a white top. I bought the white pants a while ago and haven't had a chance to wear them yet, and I really want to.
  5. Is it okay to wear white pants as a guest to a wedding? Would any of you brides have been offended if one of your guests was wearing white?
  6. I kind of felt like we were at a wedding factory. If I did it all over again, I would probably choose a different place. The day of our wedding, I didn't think about the other weddings, and it was a great day, but watching all of the others all week long was kind of annoying. I read a lot of good reviews about Chandlyn (wedding coordinator) on here, but I did not have a good experience with her. I don't think she made us feel special at all. We were just another wedding on her assembly line. If it is important to you to not be surronded by other weddings, you might want to think about changing locations.
  7. I have an old-man crush on Robert Redford in the Horse Whisperer. I also have a huge crush on Patrick Fugit in Almost Famous. I don't know even know why. I agree about House, there is just something very intriguing about him.
  8. We had a joint party. We have the same friends. His guy friends were my friends first, so I didn't want to have a bachelorette party without my friends because they are guys.
  9. A lot of our guests used their tote bags all week to carry stuff around the resort. I think your guests might appreciate getting the bag and not care so much what is in them. Could you add a little larger item such as a beach towel or mug or bottle of some sort? You can find cheap paper bags at Hobby Lobby, Walmart, or Michaels.
  10. I was just looking at program to see, but I didn't list the signing in it. I think we signed the marriage license after exchanging rings. Then they do a declaration of marriage, then you walk down the aisle.
  11. I used Lee's Tours for transportation. They were great. Welcome to Lees Taxi and Tours Jamaica by Lees Elite Travel & Tours Ltd., Taxi and Tours in Jamaica, Jamaica Taxi and Tours - www.leestaxiandtoursjamaica.com - info@leestaxiandtoursjamaica.com
  12. A lot of brides choose the free package and just upgrade what they want. You might want to price out what you want, it might be cheaper to upgrade only a few things.
  13. Most of our guests took pictures with their own digital cameras. When we got back I set up a photo sharing site and got a lot of pictures from our guests. If we would have given them disposables, I don't think they would have used them much. I bought disposable cameras for our AHR and put one on each table. Each camera had 27 pictures, and we had 23 tables. I only got about 75 decent pictures. The quality of the disposable pictures isn't that great either, especially when you are used to your digital camera. It also can be quite pricey to get the cameras developed. Maybe put together a "photo scavenger hunt" or some kind of game to get people to take pictures with their own digital cameras. I think you might be disappointed with what you get from the disposables.
  14. Baseball hat, bouquet holder, and oot bags are sold.
  15. I felt the same way. I didn't know what to do with myself, I like to stay busy with craft projects, but I just couldn't get motivated. I felt like I lost a friend after my wedding was over. My wedding was in January and my AHR was in about a month ago. So after a month of no wedding planning, and I still feel lost sometimes. I think you'll start to feel better in a couple weeks. Something else will come up to keep you busy.
  16. 4 Travel mugs for OOT bags. $3.00 each plus shipping. 13 Canvas OOT bags from cheaptotes.com. Measure 14â€x15â€. $10.00 plus shipping. Artificial bouquet plus 4 corsages. $75.00 for all. I have 3 of these: and 1 of these: Dress: David’s Bridal style T9168 without train in Ivory. Size: 8, street size 4/6. Paid $400, asking $200 plus shipping. The dress has not been dry cleaned. David's Bridal - Satin ball gown with cuff neckline, lace-up back, and pick up skirt.
  17. I have some left over wedding items I'd like to get rid of. Please post on this thread if you are interested. Thanks! Ambrielle Longline Bra size 36B. Worn 1 time. $25.00 plus shipping. Bride’s baseball hat with veil. Never worn. Perfect for bachelorette party. $8.00 plus shipping. Bouquet Holder. Out of package but never used. $2.00 plus shipping. More to come...
  18. I bought paper tags and tied them around the handles, but after a week, the tags were falling apart. Maybe you could tie a different colored ribbon around the handles or attach tags that are used to put around wine glass stems to tell them apart.

  20. For my AHR, I bought tulle circles and wrapped mints up in them for favors. I tied them up with a ribbon and put a tag on that was a picture from our wedding. I cut pictures out with a 2" punch and punched a hole in them. If you are having floral centerpieces, you could cut out pictures from your wedding, attach them to wire and stick them in the centerpiece.
  21. I don't know if they will accept the certificate for the resort, but my husband's insurance (blue cross blue shield) said they would cover everything for me dating back to my wedding date. We were procrastinating on adding me to his insurance, and then I found myself in the hospital needing to have my appendix removed. He called while I was in the hospital and that's when they said they would cover everything. They sent us a form to fill out and I had to send them our original marriage license, which they sent back a week or two later. It took about 2 months to get my original marriage certificates in the mail.
  22. I scanned and emailed the documents to Chandlyn, which worked great and was free.
  23. I bought these mugs: Cheap promotional Travel Mug - Custom Printed Clear Arcylic with Stainless Steel Insulator (TM1039) from DiscountMugs. They worked great and everyone loved them and used them. Discountmugs.com have a lot of styles that I'm sure would work good.
  24. We had the photographer for the ceremony and an extra 2 hours, which worked out well. Michael was our photographer. He saved about 20 minutes and came back for our dinner as well. We also had a 2 hour session with him the following day at Coyoba Gardens. We ended up with about 900 pictures to choose from, and we purchased 150. I know 900 seems like a lot, but he takes 3 or 4 shots of every pose, so a lot of the pictures will be very similar. You only get one chance to get these pictures, so I would go ahead and get 2 extra hours, you can definately use them.
