  1. Forget CD's Hard drives are super cheap these days and so much faster. If you have a newish Mac, there is an automatic backup option called Time Machine, that saves whatevery you are working on all the time. You can go back in time 1 hour, 5 hours, 1 day whatever!

  3. I get this question a lot! So here's how I do it. Every client gets a CD with a ton of pics (usually over 600) The pictures get slight adjustments. They don't need much. Most of the time I get the perfect exposure in the camera so they don't need much Photoshop. I call these Proofs, and yes I do include a release so they can make their own prints anywhere they want. The Digital Negatives are the images directly from the camera. If the client wants them, they can have them. Any prints or albums included in the package (or ordered from the website) get the full treatment - Wrinkles removed, zits zapped, laugh lines reduced, as well as other distractions in the picture reduced or removed. The color is enhanced a touch, and a bit more photoshop magic is performed. Since I take so many pictures at each wedding, there is no way I have enough time to do this to ALL the photos. But, anything that I do retouch for the album, IS included on the CD. I hope this all makes sense - feel free to PM me with specific questions, and I'll gladly answer them. E
  4. Wow - I am in negotiations with a bride who was going to get married there. I wonder what is going to happen. E
  5. Hi - I am NOT familiar with their stuff, but I'd gladly review it for you and give you my recommendations. PM me if you want. E
  6. I am a donor. I'm pretty sure that Doctors will do whatever they can to help you when you are in the hospital ignoring any donor card info. But once they have done all they can, and your time is up, I feel like it is a wonderful way to help others. E
  7. Wow, that's a beautiful place. If you need any design help with your programs, let me know! Cheers, E
  8. Welcome! There is a ton of great info on this site, and everyone is so helpful.

  10. Hey, welcome! This place is addictive!
  11. There are a Ton, you are right. I'm a member of several, but for what you want you might want to visit the Flickr wedding photography group, or OSP. The DWF is the biggest, but only let pros in. There are many others, the key is to lurk for a while and then when you are ready sign up. I feel that if you have to pay, it's probably not worth it.
  12. Hmmm - I'd try to get to the bottom of this. I'd also get everything in writing, and make sure everyone is on the same page. But since you have a confirmation, everything is OK.
  13. Those are fantastic DW OOT gifts! I've never seen anything like them before.
  14. From a photographer's perspective, I think I like #3 the best. The train has so many possibilities...
  15. That should be absolutely perfect in late January. Congrats on your engagement, and good luck with your planning - Everyone here is super helpful.
  16. I love the ceremony in the round, under the Chuppah! Let us know when you get your pro pics!
  17. I really like your e-ring. OK so the band doesn't match exactly. But think 10 or 20 years from now, will you miss it?
  18. I know right where that church is! Great little neighborhood right around the corner - The Rue Cler! You just reminded me to get my butt in gear - Next year is my 10th anniversary (October '09). What a surprise that would be to my wife! Congrats on your anniversary!
  19. We are at the mercy of the airlines, and there isn't much we can do. I usually work through a Travel Agency (instead of doing it myself with websites), and so far I've been really lucky.
