  1. Thanks so much for all your supportive words. I appreciate the help you offered Sunitam, and how it may be a good choice after all. Cecilia is being very sweet and she did let me know there was a big wedding taking place in the garden at the same time which ruled out the tower terrace as the two receptions would be so close to each other. She is trying to make us happy and I REALLY appreciate her quick responses. I think the spa terrace it is. We will have to hope our guests can handle not seeing the ocean for a few hours! Heck, we are from LA, it is not like we aren't blessed with that great view on a regular basis. You all are wonderful! Thank you.

  3. Hi, I am getting married Nov. 7th and have had my reception location and times changed on me. I think I may be stuck with the spa terrace as of now. I am so bummed out. I don't even think there is a view of the ocean from there and isn't that the whole reason we do destination weddings in Cancun? I feel I am being moved around due to a large wedding that is more important but I don't have that confirmed. I would be so grateful if anyone could give me pros and cons of having my reception in the spa terrace or the garden as I think these may be my only two options. I just feel the garden is so out in the open it wouldn't feel private at all and weird dancing away with so many onlookers? Or, does anyone know any other locations that I could look into that have an ocean view? By the way, we booked Dreams 17 months in advance. I am feeling a bit down...any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  4. I hope someone can help me... PLEASE. Cecilia wants to move my wedding from 4 to 5 in the gazebo, November 7th. I keep hearing it may be too dark. Does anyone have experience with this? Sunset for that day will be at 5:07pm.. We are taking our photos before the wedding but I am concerned about it being so dark during the ceremony that the pictures of the wedding will not show the amazing blue water in the background. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is my first panic moment so far!
  5. The WC just emailed me again and said that she wants me to move it because of the 2 other weddings the same day! WHAT? That is not what I was expecting at all. I went from really happy to now for the first time a bit stressed out. I am picturing my guests showing up and them having to wait for the other wedding guests to leave the area. Now she wants to know ASAP about moving the time of the wedding. Does anyone know if the time of sunset is 5:07, is that when it is dark, is that still light? Is that when the sun first touches the ocean? If that is the case, it might not be so bad. HELP PLEASE! I am so afraid that I am paying all this money for the view of the ocean all around us and we might not even be able to see it.
  6. What is throwing us off is that we are taking all posed pictures before the wedding... so we aren't worried about photos after. Do we do it and have the ceremony at sunset and go to reception in the dark or do we want to see the sun set at the reception! Ahhhh...
  7. I tried to get you! You were booked up! I love your work!
  8. Hello! My WC wants to move my wedding time, in the gazebo, from 4pm to 5pm. I am worried it will be too dark. Does anyone know how dark it will be at 5pm and 6pm in Cancun in November? Thanks so much!
  9. Getting married Nov. 7th at Dreams Cancun. Wondering is anyone knows anything about Cancun Wedding Photographers? They seem very reasonably priced and very good getting back to me through emails. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  10. Thank you so much for taking the time to describe the mood at the beginning of the reception. I had wondered how that might go and not sure if passing on a DJ would make a difference but seems like it does. Maybe we need to prep some of the rowdy guy friends to get the party started right away instead of waiting for it to happen. Thanks for the heads up!
  11. Together 3 and 1/2 years when got engaged. Will be together 5 when married. I would have said yes if he would have asked me on our second date, but love our amazing years together and wouldn't have it any other way!
  12. My mom has horrible knees and would not be able to get up and down stairs easily, especially in the dark. I am eagerly awaiting the answer to how near they are to the beach. Thanks!
  13. I emailed Dreams Cancun many many times asking for the wire transfer info with no response. Finally I emailed everyone I had an address for with the same email. (I didn't want to lose my date!) I got an immediate response! But.. she seemed pissed and told me to only contact my wedding rep. I don't want to piss them off but if you really need to talk to them, you could try.
  14. Getting married November 7, 2009. It feels so far away!!! But I am still excited. I was planning on heading into town with my mother and friends and buying flowers to add to the wedding decorations. Is that a bad idea? I am not dead set on any type at all, very laid back person, just want pretty arrangements.
