I had the same thing happen to me (still does on occasion) and I tried on dresses there almost a year ago - and didn't even buy one. I also got the Mary Kay makeover and even a wine party (I took part in those, but not any of the expos or stuff I "registered for and were picked")

Very strange. I fed my dog Nutro for a while, but I noticed she started having this flare ups where she wouldn't sleep through the night (hence keeping me up). I noticed that her stomach was making really strange gargling noises and she wanted to go outside 5-6 times a night. I would go out with her and she wouldn't do anything except try to eat grass. I decided to switch her food and she stopped having those nights (thank goodness). I figured she had just been eating the food for too long, so I switched. I didn't think it was a situation like this though.

Hmmm...I have a lot of things in mind - we shall see if I have the cash flow to go with it. - I have a gym membership anyway but I opted to share a personal trainer with my sister @ $12/month = $108 for the 9 months prior to wedding. - Hair cut + Highlights = around $120 - Mani/Pedi = $60 - Hair/Makeup day of = around $100 or so - Eyelash extensions = $150 So about $500-$600 YIKES!!!

So...I didn't want a veil at first. I remember getting angry at the consultant at David's Bridal because she put a veil on my head after I told her I didn't want to try any on But then I saw all the beautiful photos of the brides on the beach with their veils blowing in the wind...and I decided I wanted one. Oh how I change my mind so often!! So I began searching on ebay for one, since I don't really have any wiggle room in my budget. And found the store: Feeling Pampered. She also has a site: Unique gifts like silk pillowcase that pampers you. The veil was $40 and arrived in 2 days! I will post pics of it in my hair when I do my hair trial in early June. But I'll post a few pictures I just took at my desk (while I'm suppose to be working)...here it is. What do ya think? (Reminder: my dress is all lace) And she even sent it in this cute little bag

Cleavage on your wedding day??
KatyKo replied to BrideChilla's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I am a bit concerned about my dress - I am barely a C cup, but my dress is pretty low-cut in the front. It didn't seem that obvious when it was a bit big, but now that it is altered...my girls are pretty out there. I hope I can adjust on the day of to where they aren't attracting too much attention - not because I think it is bad - just because I am not a cleavage girl I try to hide it most of the time for some reason. -
I am having this issue too. I decided I wanted to be barefoot, so I got my dress hemmed to be just long enough to wear flip flops after the ceremony and now I want to wear heels. At least she let you know before you got the dress altered. Now I'm trying to find cute shoes with less than 2" heels and that isn't very ease - although I think I might have found some Good luck!

We are having our legal ceremony at our new house (we have a cute backyard) on May 30th. We are inviting our parents and grandparents to attend since our grandparents can't make it to the DW. It won't be anything exciting, but we wanted something special for our grandparents to participate in. Our DW will be our "real" wedding with special vows, dress, decorations, etc... on June 20.

I just started reading "Shadow of the Wind" per a suggestion of a co-worker - I haven't gotten far enough into to say whether it is good or not, but he raved about it and I trust his judgment. I read "Secret Life of Bees" and absolutely loved it. I also really loved "Water for Elephants." I also just finished "The Art of Keeping Secrets" by a lady who I believe is from South Carolina. It was a great book, although I found 5 errors in spelling/grammar. I hate when that happens. That sounded really type A of me - but I was just casually reading - you would think that editors would catch these things.

We did not send out invitations. Our STDs had all the info necessary to book, etc...so we didn't send invitations. We did however send a reminder to folks to book their travel and get their passports ready in January. Only have 16 people booked so far, but have probably at least 10 more still saying they are coming (I wish they would just hurry up a book!!!!) Sorry, bridezilla came out for a second

Beautiful flowers! -
FI made me a set of wine glasses for Christmas. They were the cutest things I had ever seen. One had my name with polka-dots and an elephant (my favorite), one had his name with a moose on the back (my nick name for him), one had our dog's name with a bird (she is a bird dog) and one was just the inital "R" (which will be my new last initial when we get married). He did such an awesome job and put so much love and effort into them. The only advice I have is to make sure you get a bit of a thick glass because two of mine broke before he was even able to give them to me (he was so upset). He bought the glasses for cheap because that is just the way we are and then regretted it after the two broke. He used a drimmel tool to do the etching though, so you might be fine with your tools.

I did NOT get in Nursing school?!?!
KatyKo replied to August2010Bride's topic in Just venting or funnies
Good luck with the new school. I have heard how hard it is to get into nursing school. You should be proud to have the accomplishments that you do with your GPA and ACT. I'm sure the right school will see all the hard work you have put into your career goals. We are here for you! -
People who steal other people's property are such scum bags. Makes me soooo angry. I have had my CD player stolen twice out of my car - almost a third time had my neighbor not been smoking on his porch at 3am and yelled at them to get away from my car. It makes you feel so violated. I hope they find the whole bike. They are pretty quick when they steal those things. My sister's boyfriend had a fixed up Honda and they found it less than a few hours after it was stolen with just the car frame left. I hope that isn't the case for you!
