Yay! My Save the Dates went out today. They are simple, but I love them! They had magnets on the back and a travel info card inside as well. And the best part is that they were scented and smell like coconuts! oh, and I had custom stamps made that I LOVE also!

I can understand it. I'm not having my sister in the BP. We're not very close and the trip itself is probably going to strain her budget. Being in the BP would just add more expenses.(that's my logical excuse) Really, we are just not that close and I would rather have my friends because they will mean more to me on the day... I guess if we HAD been close and we were just fighting now I might feel differently.

So, I know this is an older thread but thought others might be looking for these. I found similiar ones at Christmas Tree Shop today 2 for $3.00. They had aqua, green and pink solid colors and then some striped ones and ones with flowers on them. Two AAA batteries and light bulbs were included. I needed white too tho!

Try Clinique City Block Sheer SPF 25. Feels really light and tinted just enough to even out your skin. Costs about $16.00 and lasts me a really long time. Only need to use a dime size amount on your whole face. I love it!

I can totally understand where you're coming from. I actually have a GREAT relationship with my inlaws and they would be at our wedding no matter where we asked them to go. MY parents on the otherhand, not so much. We are doing a very private legal ceremony with a JP here before we go to Mexico. If I told my parents that we were doing it they would NEVER come to Mexico. They haven't taken much time to get to know my fiance- even though we lived in an apartment attached to their house for over a year! I agree with pp, don't change your plans. Being someone who is in a similar situation to your fiance I know that I would still go thru with them even if my parents decided not to attend and that my fil's would really be enough family for me to be there. I would believe your guy when he says it would be enough. Its a crappy situation, but really the day is about you and your future husband and you should do whatever makes the two of you happy.

I love this show! I agree though that this season I'm finding Jackie really annoying. When she wouldn't even let Brian talk I wanted to smack her. I can imagine how he felt. She should have just heard him out. She didn't have to agree with him... Last season I didn't find her nearly as annoying. She acts like she is perfect and everyone should be like her. But I'm still watching! lol

We are definitely doing a TTD session. I love the way other people's pictures look and I know I will have no use for the dress after my wedding day so we're using the actual dress. Its one of the things I'm looking forward to most.

Wow, I would feel the same way. I don't know that I have any good suggestions for you. Has your TA worked with this resort before? If so, she should be able to give you atleast some good estimates as to what it has cost other brides. That's what mine did before we got any info from the resort, but she had used them before for weddings so she had an idea. Otherwise, with it being in August I would expect my TA to get on their a$$es and get me answers. I wouldn't care how she did it as long as she got them! lol I would agree with pp to try calling. My TA says that the best times to reach the WC is usually EARLY in the am before they are running around for the day... Hope everything works out... I feel your pain.

Welcome Deanna! I agree that working with a travel agent makes thing so much easier. That way I can focus on the details that I want to and my TA handles everything else. You'll find lots of great info on this board as well.

Hey guys, I have a question. Do any of you think that the extra charge for the open bar with your wedding package is a little too much? Especially since PRC is an all-inclusive resort. $10 per person per hour is an extra $800 on top of the regular package (based on the 20ppl for the pkg) plus I was thinking of extending it an extra hour. For some reason I feel like if we could drink all we want because of the AI, being charged $200 an hour doesn't make sense. Maybe I'm just being cheap... lol What do you think?

Welcome! We chose Riviera Maya after looking up resorts on tripadvisor and my travel agent recommending it. She has had several brides get married at my resort and they all LOVED it. Also, coming from CT I think that flights will be less expensive for our guests. And, I wanted to be on the eastern side... not sure why, just something stuck in my head. We are at Paradisus Riviera Cancun.

I used to work for a vet and excessive drinking was something that definitely led them to look into diabetes. It could be something or it could be nothing. It also depends if this is a change from his normal behavior or if he's always needed more water than you would think is "normal". Best advice would be take him to a vet. Can't hurt and its worth the cost of the appointment just to put your mind at ease. Hope everything turns out to be fine...

Ha, I have a really funny hair extension story (well funny NOW not so funny THEN). I got hair extensions from a woman who owns her own salon and has been doing them for a long long time. It took hours to put them in. I have thick hair and she had trouble making them look natural because the bottom of my hair looked thinner than the top. Once they were all in my head HURT like crazy. Way worse than you would expect. Then I realized that if I pulled my hair back or into a ponytail you could definitely see where the extensions were... it was just bumpy. The next day I made her take them out which hurt as much if not MORE than getting them put in. In the end she agreed to give me half of my $400 back... which I guess was fair since she took all that time to do them, but I didn't think it was my fault that they turned out so badly. I really HATED them. So, I would say if you want them just for your wedding day looking into clip in ones or maybe the ones that Jessica Simpson has with her stylist Ken Paves. I think they sell them on QVC or HSN. I've seen some demos of those ones on TV and they looked pretty good. If you go with the regular ones I agree with the pp you should get them well in advance of your wedding to see if you like them

We are inviting 42 ppl... I know 16 are planning to come. The rest are up in the air. I figure it'll be a nice surprise if they come, but I'm not holding my breath. My FI wanted to invite a lot of our friends knowing they probably can't come just so he doesn't have to listen to them say they weren't invited. Wasn't exactly what I had in mind, but figured I'd just do what he wanted so he has to give in to me on other things. Watch, with my luck they'll all end up coming! I'm excited to get into some of the details with the resort like flowers and table decor and stuff.
