Hi!

We are getting married at the Melia Caribe Tropical and looking to do an evening dinner cruise type of reception instead of the resort options. I've heard of La Barcaza does this? Does anyone have any experience with them? Or do you know of another company that does this?

We are looking at April 17-24. Would you be interested in sharing a photographer? Like I said, we haven't booked yet, but will likely be doing so in the next week or so. We have people going from Newfoundland, Calgary, and Edmonton mostly. I am sooo looking forward to it.

I'm also going with the Melia in April 09. (or at least we are 95% sure thats the resort we are going with) When are you going?

It is a beautiful place. My biggest problem with having the wedding there - is well, I'm living with Calgary now. Our friends and family are 75% outside of NL these days. Whereever we went it was going to have travel costs for most of the guests - so we figured the Carribean would be a much better 'destination' for our wedding. I can go to NL anytime. haha.

My name is Lisa and I'm in the midst of planning my destination wedding. We are tentatively looking at April 18-25 2009 and likely in PUnta Cana or CUba. We are still in the early stages of planning - so nothing set in stone yet.
