  1. I was barefoot on the beach and it was amazing! Highly recommended!

  3. If I hadn't already done my BD session I would totally be in! Have fun! Her work looks fantastic, and thats a great price!
  4. Its the resort they have been contracted to work from... Here is the email Sevrine sent me, "hi Lindsay, Hope all is well. Your photographer will be francisco rodriguez. He will arrive around 2.30. Make sure that the day pass is arranged and that the front desk knows that you are expecting him. We don't accept credit cards outside of the resorts where we work so the balance would have to be paid in cash or traveler checks. Let me know if you have any questions. You will arrange the TTD with Fran. Have a nice day. severine" Probably worth finding out if your resort is one where they work....Good luck!
  5. We did ours on Sunday, I rinsed it in the shower and hung it up over the jacuzzi tub. On Wednesday I was able to shake the last of the sand out of it cause it was completely dry (which I was surprised cause it is a heavy lace dress). I packed it up that day in the garment bag I brought it down in and it was good to go. If you are in a rush, the sun would probably be a good option in speeding up the drying time.

I was just wondering, did you have to pay tax on top of the quoted price? Thanks!! Nope that the flat rate. FYI- The only thing is they don't take credit cards outside of their "home" resort, so I had to pay by cash or travellers cheques. We had no intention of bringing that much cash down with us, so it came as a surprise when we were told 2 days before we left. But despite that little hiccup, everything else was a breeze and it was a fantastic decision!
  7. I wore one during my wedding and it was fine until I started dancing, and then I started sweating and then.....it slipped around inside my dress like crazy! It was great for me until I actually started sweating ex ceremony, pics, dinner etc. cause it totally provided support and a little cleave. I would suggest a backup bra just in case...like maybe a low back bra or corset? Good luck!

I really didn't worry about it too much cause my BMs actually a professional stylist so I'm lucky.

  10. Ana Congratulations! Can you deligate any of that stuff to Micheal and/or your BMs? Aka the GM shopping, shoe shopping and cake tray polishing? If it makes you feel better, my list was twice as long a month before my wedding and it turned out not to be too bad. The last two weeks I ran around like crazy every evening and weekend, but you'll survive! Have fun being engaged for 30 more days- its almost over!

Your pics are GREAT!! Your photographer did a wonderful job. When I got to the one of the sand ceremony, I laughed out loud because you have what seemes to be the exact same frame I have. My frame was 'Umbra' brand and it had 4 panes if glass...does that sound familiar?? Also, your flower bouquet was pretty. Was it made of orchids? Thank you so much! Thats it exactly - I actually took out 1 of the panes, so there is a section for the sand and still a spot to put a photo. My bouquet was realtouch orchids and plumerias. I loved it! I'm glad you feel better- have fun focusing on the rest of the planning!
  12. I bought one bag of coloured sand and brought to small vases to use to pour- I was pretty much equal parts coloured to beach sand. They never even unwrapped it - I had it wrapped in tissue paper and then in a plastic bag in my carryon. It went through the scanner and that was it. I actually never even saw one person getting stopped at security. At canadian customs they didn't ask me about it and I didn't mention it. The girl was more interested in chatting about us getting married - although I don't think its a problem bringing sand into the country cause I think people do it all the time. If you want to see my frame, check out my wedding pics http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t38085.
  13. Something very similar happened to me! I purchased my own stock, which I love and it had a letter pressed border that I wanted to match to the graphi on my design. So I gave a sample to my graphic designer who came up with the perfect design and I had planned to get it professionally printed. Problem was I tried a few different places and either they couldn't get the colour right, they couldnt get the font to read on their program or they wanted to charge a stupid amount to print it. Finally I got frustrated and decided I would attempt a sample off my HP printer at home - and amazingly, the colour was perfect and my invitations looked perfect! If you have a printer, try printing them yourself and see - worst thing is you waste a piece of card stock (just use a cheap piece of cardstock before using the good stuff to print). Then you can bring it it to get it cut professionally if you want. Good luck !!
  14. Bump!! I loved this thread and I want to see if we can revive it! I'll post my favorite room as soon as my husband installs the crown molding....but in the meantime lets see yours!
  15. I'm glad I could help inspire - really the finished product came out better than I ever imagined! For those of you making it yourself, you won't be disappointed.
  16. Thanks ladies! I was super pleased with our photos when I got them back! All your compliments made me blush... but I appreciate them so thanks again! Beautiful shots, thank you for posting them Aw, Ashley I'm glad I was able to help you decide! My hair inspiration was from an Eva Longoria pic from one of the award ceremonies. It was executed by one of my BM's/hair stylists. Piece of advice - consider clip in extensions for volume... I have long hair already, but she added a bunch of clip-in extensions b/c my hair is finer than that style would support. Also, she used a Swarskof product called "dust it" to make sure they were held it really well.

It is alecon lace with a chiffon detail under the bust. Good luck finding your perfect dress! - Lindsay
  18. I just got back from Punta Cana and carried my sand ceremony frame with me on the plane. We used sand from the beach, and I had no problems bringing it on with me- no questions asked! I figured if they had questionned me I would just say we brought the sand with us....I wouldn't worry about it!
  19. And finally, here are few from our TTD - if you can't tell we had a blast! IMG]http://i317.photobucket.com/albums/mm384/lindsay_west/REC_0049.jpg[/img]

Thanks! Lori Today is our one month anniversary and we have our certificate in our hands. They did tell us it would take about 3months for us to get it, so I was surprised how quick it was. Good luck with your decision!
