Have you exercised today?
seaprincess replied to destinationbride07's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
Did an hour of spin last night, but didn't eat enough yesterday so I hit a wall after only 10 minutes! Next time I'll make sure I eat more during the day! As for tonight, I plan to hit up yoga for some much needed flexibility training. -
Great work Virg! Wishing you a fantastic day!

Have you exercised today?
seaprincess replied to destinationbride07's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
I did an hour of walking/jogging with my puppy yesterday followed by 1/2 of strength training upper body. Slept in and missed spin class this morning, and then hosted a big father's day BBQ tonight, so I'm sad to say that today was a lot of eating, no working out. -

Did an hour of spin followed by shoulders, biceps, triceps and abs. After a two week hiatus, its good to be back....now if I could just commit to the gym after work instead of cocktails on the patio, I'll be all set. -

I've posted this in another thread, but this is my monkey of a boxer, Bailey. In the car.... ...and one of my favorite, dressed up to celebrate New Years when he was four months.

seaprincess replied to jawedding's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
Also, if you google wedding favours there are several sites that do ship to Canada. Depending on what you want to order, Oriental Trading ships to Canada and has tons of stuff. Good luck! -
HELP!!! Sand Ceremony reading??

I have no idea where she found it, or if she wrote it, but even the FI loved it, and he's a hard one to please!! As you stand beside the ocean, may your love always be as constant as the tide; waves flowing endlessly from the depths of the sea. Just as water is the eternal force of life, so is love. Love is the force that allows us to face fear and uncertainty with courage. You have just sealed your relationship by giving and receiving of rings. But although you will be sharing one life, never forget that you are two separate people. Cherish and affirm your differences. Love each other. Keep your commitment primary. Together you will laugh and cry, be sick and well, be happy and angry, share and grow. Grow sometimes together, sometimes separately. To symbolize this union and the importance of the individuals within the marriage, two separate colors of sand will be combined. Each one holds its own unique beauty, strength, and character. They can stand on their own and be whole, without need of anything else. However when these two are blended together they create and entirely new and extraordinarily more intricate entity. Each grain of sand brings to the mixture a lasting beauty that forever enriches the combination. Please pour the sand into this common container to symbolize the union of your two lives. Kathleen and Pawel, just as these grains of sand can never be separated and poured again into the individual container, so will your marriage be a molding of two individual personalities, bonded together forming one heart, one life, and one family. Aw Kathleen I'm the bride you borrowed it from! I'm glad other brides were able to use it after me. I actually put the wording together by blending several aspects of different sand ceremony wordings together. My brother did our reading and we kept laughing when he was practicing b/c the "extraordinarily more intricate entity" was impossible for him to say, and then on the day he said it perfectly! Anyways, it makes me happy to hear other brides have been able to use it! BTW- you siggy pic is gorgeous! -

We decided on Mikka Erin (Me-kah) just a name I really like, and is not very common at all..At least around here. And Erin is after my cousin who passed away two years ago from the cancer that I'm a gene carrier for, so she's kind of my Angel...FI didn't like the idea at first of using her name, but I'm sooo happy that he likes the idea now that I explained how meaningful it is. So Erin's Dad is the only one who knows what her name will be besides us, and well you guys now! I called him to ask if it was okay to use Erin's name as a middle name and he was so happy Have any of you heard of any other Mikka's? Hi Ladies, I'm not a mommy to be yet, but I love creeping this thread b/c I want to be a mommy and be preggers, but we are waiting a little while yet, and I love hearing all your experiences. Anyway, I LOVE the name Mikka...it is beautiful. I once had a camp counsellor named Mica (but pronounced the same as your Mikka) and she was the only one I've ever met which says something, because I taught swimming for 10 years and have meet hundreds of children. Great choice! Good luck to all you mommies to be!

I'm so excited to fit in my wardrobe again, I plan on keeping this up after the wedding (well, maybe 3-4 days a week instead of 5-6). Congrats! Thats awesome and totally do-able! Yeah for you! Our AHR is tomorrow night - details now, pics to come
seaprincess replied to seaprincess's topic in At Home Reception (AHR)
Okay....here are a few pics I stole from friends off Facebook....I have confirmation that my mom has the CD with the professional ones....I'll post a new thread for those. Here we go: The cupcake table. The cupcakes were displayed in aqua buckets filled with light brown cane sugar to look like sand. Each cupcake also had a chocolate that my friend and I made. We also displayed photos of us from the beginning of our relationship to present. Not sure what was happening here, but I think we were greeting each other Me and two friends DH dancing w/ my 86 year old grandmother who tore it up all night. She even went up to the DJ and asked him to "pick up the pace" ! lol - I guess she wanted to dance faster!! lol -
I had similar feeling after our wedding....although I loved our location, ceremony, dinner etc. We missed out on the dance and I LOVE to dance so that was a bit dissapointing. Our AHR totally made up for that part and was alot of fun b/c there was no stress surrounding it! I partied my butt off and wore my dress again. The only reason we did it though was b/c my mom insisted and paid for it. It cost about $3000 for a cocktail reception with host wine... not free but it was worth it!
