I have a DJ and firedancers so I wanted something private but not on the beach. The staek restaurant and marino are open restaurants so theres no windows (firedancer will work). The radizzio restaurant holds 25-30 people and its 50 a head for all you drink and buffet. How did your reception turn out? I am still undecided as to which I will choose. Congratulations on being married!
  2. Hey everyone, Congratulations to those that have gotten married! I have reserved the date of February 28, 2009 at PPC, but I am considering changing the date to sometime in November. We are afraid that our guests will not be able to come, due to rising prices and we are hoping that waiting until November will enough time for the economy to stabilize itself a little bit. I don't know...I'm so frustrated! Anyway, has anyone gotten married or visited Puna Cana in the month of November? What was the weather like? Is this off season as far as tourists are concerned? I'd appreciate any info! Thanks, Morgan

I will let you know after I get back. I would definitly book a restaurant if you can, but they charge to make it private, and any reservation over 10 people is a fixed menu. So, what I have done is book 3 reservations under 3 names- to avoid that the night before the wedding. Stay tuned- ill let you know when I get back Do you mind me asking how much they charge to make it private? I have decided I definitely do not want a private plated dinner at a private location (such as the beach) because of the high cost, but I want to be able to dance and have drinks after the dinner. I hate not having a set plan!! I can't wait to hear how your wedding goes...Congratulations, have a great time!
  4. Hey everyone, I'm getting married at the Paradisus Punta Cana on Feb. 28th/'09 and I'm having a hard time choosing a reception location. I'm having up to 40 guests...does anyone know if the restaurants can accommodate this amount of people? I was thinking of having the dinner at one of the restaurants and then a private party with just cocktails afterward on the beach or another outdoor area. Any suggestions? Thanks!
  5. Hi everyone...I am new to the site. Are there any brides that have gotten married or are planning to marry at Paradisus Punta Cana or Paradisus Palma Real? I love them both and would like to get some personal feedback other than from the resort staff. I would appreciate any info and comments...Thanks!!!

We are going with the latter. Hi! I am deciding between PPC and PPR for my wedding next year. Where are you having your private reception? Event locations are my deciding factors as to which resort I will choose...

This is so frustrating because I love a lot of the Sandals resorts.
  8. Hi! I am looking for a resort that has outdoor terraces for private events and poolside areas for private events. Ideally, I would like to have my reception by the beach, but not on it (I don't want to be in the sand). Other than event locations, I don't want a resort with any high rises...I like the village style resorts with lots of gardens and trees. Right now I am considering the Paradisus Punta Cana or Paradisus Palma Real. Do you have any suggestions or comments? Thanks!
  9. Hello everyone! My name is Morgan and I am so glad to have found this forum, as I am still in the process of planning my destination wedding and choosing a resort. Our tentative date is the last weekend in February of 2009, however, we are flexible. I originally was looking in Riviera Maya, but when I became frustrated because I wasn't finding what I was looking for, my travel agent suggested Dominican Republic. I am now looking into Paradisus Resorts, which look beautiful and exactly what I want. Now, I am researching the event locations at each resort to see what I like best! I look foward to talking to everyone...
