  1. Not sure how fancy you were looking to go with the rehearsal - but there's a great jerk chicken place on the cliffs a little ways down from the Rockhouse that you can do a rehearsal at. They also do a bonfire on the edge of the cliff as well - nice sunsets. It's called 3 Dives - run by Lydie - very casual picnic type of vibe.
  2. Hi there, I'm not sure about that particular resort - but there's a resort next to Tensing Pen called Catcha Falling Star that you might want to check out as well. It's similar to Tensing but cheaper. I haven't been there but it gets great reviews and we are going to be using it as an overflow guest hotel when we are down there for our wedding. Also check out Blue Cave Castle. It gets great reviews too - it is literally a castle on the cliffs - a little quirky but nice grounds. Different style of rooms than Rockhouse or TP. And there's a new hotel opening in Nov 08 called Moondance Cliffs (it is sister property to Moondance Villas on the beach) - they will be more pricey once they get going but there may be a chance to get some cheaper rates locked in before they open that might work for you? You could also check out the lighthouse - while you can't stay there - you can get married there - no idea what the costs might be there tho. good luck!!
  3. Hi guys, I wanted to recommend a great wedding coordinator located in Negril for anyone that's looking. She did a friend's wedding down there and he was so psyched with what she did for them he passed the name over as soon as he knew we were looking down there. Since our resort is excellently handling all of our details, we didn't really need her services but I have stayed in touch with her with little random questions when I've hit some stumbling blocks for other things like the rehearsal dinner, etc. She is amazing! She totally gets it! Proactive, resourceful and really good natured! She has experience setting weddings, rehearsal dinners, etc up thru the resorts in town and off-property all over the place. To me, the main thing you hire a coordinator for is to make you feel better, like everything will be ok and taken care of - and with me, a nice, hard to please, Type A personality, she does that! So - if anyone's looking - get in touch with Isabelle Negril Jamaica Weddings You won't be sorry! She is amazing! cheers, beth
