Hi everyone! Thanks for all the warm welcomes! Well so far we have not got very far on picking the resort in the Mayan. We looked at Grand Occidental Xcaret but the beach is not very big. Any Ideas?? Hello! Going off birth control effects everyone differently. Some get really bad breakouts for a month or become extremely moody. Depending on how long you have been on the pill, it might take you longer to start ovulating/ get a period....but then again some women ovulate/get a period right away. It also depends on how regular your cycles were to begin with. My advice for TTC is to start taking prenatal vitamins right away (they contain a significant amount of folic acid so you do not need to have additional folic supplements) and of course no more drinking/smoking . Also just relax and have fun trying to make a baby. A lot of people have problems concieving just due to the stress of wanting to get pregnant so bad. (haha sorry i could go on forever. I just finished my labor and delivery/postpartum rotation in nursing school) Good luck and keep us updated

Hi everyone! I just joined this forum and I love it already! My name is Valerie I am from Edmonton, Alberta (Canada) My fiance's name is Jason and we got engaged on this valentines day on the beaches of the mayan riveria We plan on getting married in Mexico feb. 2009 (maybe at the Grand Occidental Xcaret) I love all of the mayan riviera and I have no idea which resort I want. They all seem so beautiful so I have no idea were to even start. I also have no idea what kind of deals I can get if I have a wedding around 25 people...will i get much of a discount at the resort or for airfare?.. haha i have a million more questions... How did everyone else start? Did you go see a travel agent right away?
