I'm a weird one....as a little girl, I actually could never picture myself getting married. I didn't have those dreams running through my head. When I met Matt, things changed...he's the only one I've ever been able to picture myself walking down the aisle with! We both love the beach, LOVE amazing sunsets, and my parents live in Mazatlan for 7 months out of each year, and the three just came together perfectly by picking Mexico....oh yeah....and I start sweating and break out into a rash even thinkin bout being the center of attention, but with just a few close family and friends, I know I'll be able to laugh, relax and ENJOY it! Simple reasons, but that is why we chose DW!

I think the sand ceremony is a GREAT idea. We're using it for our wedding and adding a 3rd color for my soon-to-be step daughter...good way to bring her into the cermony and show her that she is a very important part of our lives as we grow as a family and unite!

I did what flygirl is doing...the magnet STD from Vistaprint (with basic information of date, location and wedding website) and then using the boarding pass for the true invitation, and then passport for follow up closer to the time of departure! :-) Then going to use Vistaprint again for at home reception invitations. So many choices and different routes to take!!! (I of course changed what I thought I was going to do at least 25 times!) Have fun with them no matter what ya decide on!

My GUESS On why it is so backordered!? The designer for two birds was on Oprah last month showing this dress off. EVERYONE wants one now, but of course doesn't want to pay the BIG bucks through twobirds, so everyone is ordering the next best (if not better in my opinion!) through VS!

I know this thread has been around a while, but it's still fun to read people's reasons! We chose March 14th for a couple reasons! First...love Mazatlan in March! Second...my parents live in Mazatlan 7 months outta the year and will be driving home at Christmas, so I can send down a lot of things with them and don't have to worry about tons of extra baggage on the plane! Third...and most important...it's only 4 days after my FI's birthday, and he admits he's bad at remembering dates...so this way he'll know SOMETHING is coming up when his birthday approaches each year...I've got a little bit of a shot! hahahahaha

I just ordered 'The Ring Bearer' by Laura Godwin off Barnes & Noble...they've got discounts going on right now on kids books too. Am having it shipped to my sister in Minnesota so she can read it to my nephews many times over the next year...she's already talked to them about doing it, and as long as there is CAKE (from the mouth of a 3 year old!) the boys are in! hahahahaha

Gotta love another fun site to drool over....and make my list of wants even larger! hehehehe

Just my $.02...we are sending a couple extra invitations to those we know can't make it, (grandma and great aunt who aren't allowed to do much travelling), BECAUSE, they love seeing everything that's going on with the wedding, and, this keeps them a part of it, whether they are there or not. However...we are having a full blown formal reception at home after our DW...which 90% of those invitees were not on our DW list. Pretty much keeping the DW to very close friends and immediate family....so far no feelings hurt! Fingers crossed it remains that way (I know...yeah RIGHT! hahahaaha)
