  1. Congratulations, you looked beautiful! Your cake reminded me of our aqua/seashell take from our Hawaii DW. I never get tired of looking DW photos..lol
  2. These are just beautiful!! Love the hanging orchids at your ceremony site and your couples photos look so fun! Congrats!
  3. Hi Kim, Welcome aboard and happy planning!! DW's are an amazing experience
  4. Welcome to the forum! Those sound like some gorgeous locations to choose from...Happy planning!
  5. Welcome to the forum Wow, that sounds awesome, can't believe you got so many people to join you for your DW!! Happy planning!
  6. I'm sorry,l didn't catch this update and just posted a location in So Cal that featured our work. Could I'll delete that since I only have 40 posts. EDIT...can a moderator delete my post in the So California section, I'm looking but can't see how to delete it. Thanks!
  7. Welcome to the forum! It can be a hard decision, unless in our case, you are in love with a location so much you couldn't even think about having it somewhere else (we had a Hawaii DW). Of course you can also have a smaller DW and then a local AHR and get the best of both. Happy planning!

We are going to Hawaii again this summer and will be on Kauai in the beginning of August, the first time we went there we did the Helicopter tour but I love movies with Hawaii in them so I may just try the ATV tour this time!
  9. Thanks again girls! I got back their sample album..it was our first time using the album vendor, Graphistudio, this made a stunning album! The bright colors just popped! If any of your photographers offer books by Graphi, definitely check them out, they are worth their price! Hi allaboutodd...yes, there are a lot of great photographers on this forum! I'll send you a pm regarding your questions for me

You definitely have a winner there, to even have in mind to have someone photograph it!! My proposal was my hubby got lost in the snow in big bear on his way home one night from a bar. He called me in the middle of the night when he finally made it to the cabin and said he realized how much he missed me and wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. Not such a planned romantic one, but it was nice to hear none the less...lol

  12. This title caught my eye...Wow, so sorry to hear that! Does the photographer have a BLOG and have they posted on it during the time you have been trying to reach them? If not, perhaps there has been some sort of emergency or health issue causing them to be away. Though, even when we are away for business or out sick, we have our correspondence set to auto-reply so our clients know we cannot reply right away. I would tend to agree with the others though and may keep my options open.
  13. Welcome! What a great idea, you get the best of both worlds, a beach wedding and then all the fun of celebrating with your friends and family traveling on the cruise!
  14. Thanks for the compliments everyone. The colors really helped the images pop and they really lucked out because it was scheduled to rain all that weekend but it only ended up sprinkling a tiny bit the next day. Starchild, how funny...the same minister! He was a really nice guy, told us a bit about the history of the place and then at the end of the ceremony he did a little Elvis impression (the "Thank you very much" line). At least there are cool options like this for people who want a DW here in the mainland
  15. Just wanted to say how beautiful your photos are! Love the colors and unique TTD ones!
  16. What a great biz name..welcome to the forum!
  17. Welcome to the Forum! I got married on Oahu too (Lanikuhonua)! Best wishes for lots of sunshine but regardless it's paradise and will be a gorgeous wedding
  18. How fun, we were there last month too. Never heard of it before then. I wonder if it was the same officiant because the one from the wedding we photographed (just made a new post w/ link to pix) said he had to leave for a helicopter wedding too! It was sad because the limo bringing part of the wedding party was late so they had to start the wedding without them since the officiant had to leave soon! That place gets scary at night too, we were in a double decker bus and the bus got lost in the Valley, took us about an hour out of the way in the middle of nowhere! Sounds & looks like your friend had a great wedding!
  19. Well I'm sick in bed and sneaking time on the laptop to cure my boredom! Okay ladies, so how many of you would volunteer to have 40 photographers shoot your wedding?! This bride and groom did! My hubby and I are constantly perfecting our craft and attend at least one workshop each year. We thought this would be fun because it was a real wedding instead of models. Getting Ready was at the Bellagio, just a few of their friends in the bridal party and as guests, a double decker bus that got lost in the desert after the ceremony on the way to the strip and a few other snafus, but this location is absolutely gorgeous! Plus the bride chose a cute retro glam theme with black, white & green colors and had great diy details. This location is so scenic, intimate and unique for a DW. You can see the photos on the BLOG post and slideshow.
  20. Gotta agree with Kee beach for snorkeling. We went to a few spots on the island and from the moment we were knee deep in the ocean at Kee there was a school of huge fish swimming about. Snorkeling was pretty much effortless with so many beautiful fish there! We're going back in August...yay!!!
