  9. Hey! I am kind of in the same boat. I have a few friends that have mostly turned to acquaintances through out the year. If she knows that you are getting married in a DW, and has not expressed (either to you or a thrid source) that she is either 'so excited for you' or she 'can't wait to go' etc. I would not invite her, per se, but I would send her a STD card indicating that she should RSVP on your website. That way if there is any reprimand from the group, you can say that she didn't show any interest. Hope this helps!
  10. I'm sure you will find a ton of info on here! Don't forget to use the search tool!
  11. Great to have more Ottawa Brides!! Happy planning!
  12. This post is quite entertaining! I have been getting brazilians for about 5 years now, all my friends that have started doing this (after my suggestion) have LOVED the results! So here is your to do list : 1 - TRIM. the longer the hair is, the more the wax needs to be pulled, therefore the more it hurts. The hair can be as short as 1/2 a cm ( about 1/3 of an inch). 2- Make sure the estetician wears gloves. Gross I know... 3 - wear sweatpants, cotton loose fitting underwear. 4 - Don't worry about wearing old underwear. Most esteticians see more va-jay-jay than a gyno. Show it off, we all have one. 5 - apply cream right after while at the salon - most good esteticians will do this anyway. It helps to ease the skin irritation that will occur while walking in your sweatpants. 6 - Hot bath that evening, at least 20 minutes, this will help all the wax get removed from your pores, less breakouts and ingrowns. 7- Make sure to exfoliate (loofah and bodywash) and apply Tea tree oil after you bath, except that first bath, your skin will be too sensitive. 8 - do it for the first time at least 3 months before the wedding that way the first time will be a test run, see how long you are tender for, then redo about 2 weeks before DW. Regrowth can take anywhere from 4-8 weeks. The more you do it, the slower the growth AND the less hair there is! Which means it becomes less painful! You have been warned, once you go to Brazil, you never leave... P.S. Advil /tylenol beforehand really doesn't do much, it's a mind over matter thing. It can actually make your pores bleed more (comparableto suggestions when getting a tattoo).
  13. You are fantastic Morgan! Every day I log on to see what new idea you have!! I wouldn't mind taking some off your hands also, but it seems like most of them have been spoken for. P.S. You really are fantastic!
  14. Beautiful wedding!! I love your dress! Who is the designer?
  15. I must say ladies that you have picked a spectacular resort! This place looks AMAZING! I emailed the wC yesterday and already received a detailed response! I think this is the only resort in the Mayan that offers a private dinner in the package for less than 2000$ ! AMAZING! Was the service as excellent or just ok?
  16. Your pictures are beautiful!! Was the entire thing bery expensive? We are trying to do everything on a tight budget. Any suggestions?

  18. This was just posted on CNN: Strong earthquake shakes Mexico - CNN.com MEXICO CITY, Mexico (AP) -- A magnitude 6.4 earthquake shook southern Mexico on Tuesday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey, but there were no immediate reports of damage. The quake gently swayed buildings in Mexico City, and it was felt hundreds of miles to the east along the Gulf coast, according to local radio stations. The temblor struck at 6:50 a.m. and was centered in the region of Oaxaca, the USGS said. In the southern city of Tuxtla Gutierrez, many people fled into the streets and then lingered outside their homes, fearing aftershocks. "It was horrible," said Cecilia Gomez, standing with her family outside her home. "It really scared me." Daniel Roque, of southern Chiapas state's civil protection agency, said some residents reported panic attacks, but no damage was registered.
  19. I adorde your pictures. I am also considering a wedding at the El-Dorado Seaside Suites. And those pictures have me convinced at 90%. I was hoping you could post, or PM the information you have regarding prices/pictures for cakes, flowers, and decorations. It would be a GINORMOUS help. Thank you!
  20. You also know that you are hooked when the site goes down ( or your internet does) and you FREAK more about the forum than you do other addictions, like Facebook....
