Marachas are a great idea for fun favors. We have seen them at many weddings. Although you will find them here in Playa, I would recommend ordering them online to save $$$$.

Hi! We are the onsite photographers for Occidental Grand Xcaret and work with the Xcaret Park as well. The Park has strict policies and will allow a TTD session when you have your wedding at their location and when asking permission. Its a beautiful location and a unique place to have a wedding.

We usually suggest either morning or early evening. Most of our sessions have been in the early evening between 4-6 pm. We have great and even light and the beach is not very crowded. The morning hours 6-10am work well too however, we prefer the early evening because of the even lighting.

There was a post from a past bride a couple of months back. She gave a very detailed review of the hotel. Try doing a search to find the review.

For the kind of shopping you are looking for, I would recommend Kukulkan Plaza. It is an upscale shopping mall with an exclusive area called Luxury Avenue. There you will find all of the top brands like Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Lalique, Lladro, Christofle, Baccarat, Salvatore Ferragamo, Ermenegildo Zegna, Tous, Swarovski Crystal, Tiffany & Co, Rolex, Longchamp and many others.

There are 3 Walmarts in Cancun. They are department stores as well as grocery stores. You can find just about everything you find in the states however, there is not as much variety and the price is usually double. There is also Costco and Sam's Club. Hope that helps!
