I GOT MARRIED AT THE RRM IN OCTOBER 2008. YES WE WENT DURING HURRICANE SEASON AND STILL HAD A BLAST. WE HAD ABOUT 40 GUEST THAT JOINED US AND I THINK GOD EVERYDAY THAT I CHOSE THIS PLACE. I DID HAVE THOSE GUEST THAT COMPLAINED ABOUT GOING AND THE PRICE... WELL NOW THEY ALL WANT TO GO BACK. I POSTED MY PICTURES... ENJOY.

Thanks! We did have the reception at Chilis' and We also have the option to have the tro or the 5 man band. How many people will you be having? We had 37, and they thought there wouldn't be enough seats- but we sqeezed in. It was fine. After the ceremony we went back to the lobby bar- which was simi private and had tables setup there for everyone. We had the option of having shrimp and things- but we passed. The wedding was at 4 and dinner was at 7. The time flew by. We had our first dance at the lobby bar & we brought our own CD and they played it. For the reception the only thing I brought was the brown table runners and the brown boxes with mints in them. It cost me $50 US for them to put my stuff on the tables. I was freaking out cause at the last minute I forgot to tell them how I wanted everything laid out..... they ended up doing a better job than I could of ever done. We had the best time and everyone else did too. I hope your wedding is everything ours was. Enjoy!

Thanks! Yes, You have to use the resort photographer- we loved him. I told him kind-of what I wanted and he did that and more. I thought I would only buy the best of what he took, but I loved them all- I had to buy the whole CD.

We had a blast! It was everything we wanted!

Well.. Where do I start! I would highly recomend this hotel to anyone. We could not have picked a better place to married at. The only thing I thing I would have changed would of been the time of year. It rained off and on. The whole reason we picked this place was because of the gazebo. It looked like it was going to rain right before the cermony and sure enough right after we said I DO- it poured!!! We then got to go back out to the beach later and take some photos. It was awesome. Enjoy!

I am getting married at the Riu Riviera Maya in October and I wanted to know what kind of budget should I set for myself? I don't want to be in shock when we get there?

Your dress is so pretty. I am getting married theree in October! It's nice to see it looks like they have restored the beach! I am so worry about what to do with my guest after the wedding? What did yall do? Do you have the photo guys name or email? Who did you program fans? Thanks again for the review!
