  1. I was doing it through Destinationwedding.com and she said I'd have to sign the contracts and all that crap. I didn't want to do that because I didn't know how many people were coming at the time, plus I NEED THAT MONEY! I'll just put the Riu link on my website and the guests can go from there. Side note: I really wish the Riu's website was more informative. If they had info and picture samples like Sandals that would really be cool. Its like we're all going in blindly on one of our most important days! That's kinda scary! But thank goodness for this website!!!!
  2. I'm having them for the ceremony and cocktail reception immediately following the ceremony. THey probalbly know a lot of the popular songs but would they know the song you gave them?

Hey Twelve, What travel agency did you use?
  4. Oh, I forgot- I'll be there from 6/30-7/6 Then off to Europe!!!
  5. WOW! So many brides! I'm July 3, 2008 @ 4pm
  6. I can't think of anything except sunscreen and chap stick! Anyone got any creative Ideas? Also, how should I give them out? Can the maids put them in the rooms? Will the front desk give them out? Will Chandyn handle it (probalbly not from what I read in the forum, lol)? Everyones arriving on different days so I'm not sure how to handle it. I just don't want to be in charge of it!
  7. Ok, I'm working with the destinationweddings.com coordinator and I was trying to create wedding packages for the guests (travel and accomodations). The DWC said that ROR did not have any packages. Did anyone create packages for their guests? If so, where do I start? We are having about 40 guests. Oh yeah, how does this sound to you all?: Wedding @4 on the beach with gazebo Cocktail reception with steel drums until dinner @ 6 Dinner Reception and dancing @ Plantation/w DJ (not sure 2hrs or 4hs) My friends and family love to dance so we have to have space for that! Does the Plantation have that space?
  8. The weather here is CRAZY! One day nice and 65, the next day, wind chill of 16!
  9. I'm using destinationweddings.com. Does anyone have any expierence with them? Also, any pictures or recommendations on the reception at the Riu? I'm so nervous I could hurl!
  10. Hiya Brides! I'm new to the site and anxiously awaiting my wedding. I'm getting married at the Riu Ocho Rios and have destinationweddings.com as my coodinator. So far its been touch and go with the DWcoordinator but we'll see how it goes closer to the big day (July 3, 2008 @ 4:00). Keep your fingers crossed for me and I'll do the same for you all!
