  1. When its paid, that's when you really start planning!!!! You're on your way!
  2. Very good Idea! I'm putting it on my website mon'! Thanks!
  3. It seems like most people just get the free package and do upgrades. The good news is you don't have to choose one til you get there and see what most cost effective for you. If you do pick one now you can always change your mind when you meet with Chandlyn. Personally, I'm going with the free package and getting upgrades because even with the royal or caprice I would be upgrading many things (flowers, cake, etc.) anyway. They kind of mislead you by saying the bigger packages accomodate a bigger wedding but from what I've heard they just add the amount of chairs you need for the ceremony for free. If you upgrade on the cake, it will feed more people anyway. No matter what package you get, you'll probalbly end up upgrading things anyway so why not get the free package? The biggest difference in the packages are the spa services which, in my opinion, is not really worth getting a more expensive package. Decisions- Decisions.
  4. We want to honeymoon in Europe this summer. We want to visit London, Paris and Amsterdam over the span of 10-14 day. What would be the best way to do this?
  5. Is anyone doing these in OR? If so what ideas do you have. My FI and I are having our parties there because most of our BM and GM live far from us. This would be more convienent for everyone to attend if we do it in OR.
  6. I think I'm going to have my BM's wear the barefoot sandals. Should I be concerned with what type of footwear the men will be in?
  7. None have "spoken" to me yet so I guess I'll keep trying more on until one does. I'm going to another bridal store soon so I'll take more pics and see what you all say about the next batch. You guys are helping me tremendously so keep the feedback coming!!!! Thanks a BUNCH!!!
  8. I have arch and bouquet catelogue! PM me if you need it! I can't figure out how to make the .pdf file small enough to be within the forum limits.
  9. Ok, here's a link with more dresses. The pics are REAALLY dark but it'll give an idea. For some reason camera technology has not caught up with lighting darker skinned people in low lighting. It see's it all as "background",lol. share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=2IYt2TRmzZOJg
  10. OK, here are a few....keep in mind I was bloated and crabby! This is just one. I'm testing to see if it works.

Hey let me know if that Upgrade works with the free package! That's what I want to do!
  12. Ok I went and tried on about 5 dresses and I going again today to try on a few more (it was too hectic on Monday!). I'll try to post them all tonight and you all can help me decide!
  13. WOW, maybe I'm just cheap but for a free wedding I'm surely racking up a bill and I didn't even think about the tipping!
  14. Have a great time! You go girl!!!!!!
  15. Word of caution...be sure to practice waling in those "stripper flip-flops". I had a pair for the beach last summer and almost broke my ankle a few times trying to walk on the sand. It take VERY good balance and nerves may make it worse! The sand moves when your weight is on the shoes which make walking a little tricky!

  17. Have you all asked the BM's if they mind going barefoot? I'm afraid my BM's may be hysterical about showing their dogs! Plus i think i'm leaning towards a more traditional dress and that may look wierd.... Advice anyone?
  18. It's still up in the air for me. I think I'm going to look for a wedge heel flip-flop thingy. I don't want to sink in the sand in heels but I also don't to be barefeet because I'm leaning towards a more traditional dress.
  19. I think the 2nd confirmation is for when the Officiant as confirmed that he will be available. The Riu may have the date available but they also have to confirm the Officiant. I say wait a day or 2 or call them to see what the hold up is. For now, just start doing some of the preliminary things like: Getting the guest list together Looking for the right invitations or save the date cards Getting pics together for the website (wedding party pics, family pics, etc) Read the forum (you'll get plenty of ideas!)
  20. Thanks for the advice girls. I am taking pics of the dresses. I'm going back tomorrow with a friend to get her advice. Hoefully I'll have better luck!

Hope this helps! That's a good Idea! I can burn some good Reggae CD's. That way they can pop it in a be reminded of the great time at our wedding! And that's cheap!
  22. The problem is, I can't decide!!! I went dress shopping yesterday and I can't even decide on the type of dress! I love the ease and comfortability (is that a word?)of a light, airy, destination dress. But the beatiful, elegance, from a sparkly more formal dress is what I've dreamed of since I was 4. I don't know if I want to be "sexy" or "innocent". I have no vision of what it should look like. At times I say to myself "I want to be a princess.". Then there are times when I'm like "I want to be sophisticated" (btw, I'm 30yrs). I just cant decide. I had the dress consultant, bringing me so many different styles, I felt bad for her! INPUT PLEEEEEEAAAAASE
  23. Wow, the arches and the bouquets look great. I didn't expect that! I bet they cost an arm and a leg though! I'm wondering if I should just get silk flowers. That may be cheaper but they prob. won't match the flowers from the arch....decisions, decisions
