I sent my documents down and they said they good and they didn't have anything with residence or occupation...however I noticed when we were looking at other resorts in Jamaica a couple of them required that information too. Maybe it just depends who is marrying you.

Michael has seemed to change things on us. He told me first I can wait until we get there and pick the package after the wedding. Then he sent me the same e-mails as above saying that you had to pick how many picures and pay for them ahead of time. Well I guess I am a cheap bride..I am only going to tip 50-100 dollars...15-20 percent would be 500 dollars and up Maybe once I get there my opinion will change. Thus far Chandlyn has been ok...but I am not all that impressed with the information given. I cannot understand why there isn't a wedding information package with all the options. You learn more on this site than you do from the riu. She would then get less e-mails and be able to respond in a more timely manner to the ones she does get.

I was quoted 350 at first for the projector, but in my last e-mail from chandlyn she said it was 200 to rent. Did anyone rent one..I am also concerned where they would set it up

The 250 goes towards the minister and paperwork. There isn't an additional 250 you have to pay...in this regard...check out some of the other threads on pricing...there isn't too much "free" at the resort. You can upgrade everything at a cost. I think you should be okay to go from a standard to a suite. I think people mostly run into problems upgrading from a jr. suite to a deluxe suite. To be safe I would talk to your travel agent and get her to throw it in...or pay the upgrade. You can get the first upgrade for 100-200 dollars.

I have all of my guests booked in Junior suites...if I upgrade mine will I be far away from them? Since it is a big resort i want us all close together. and just to be sure all of the suites are in the deluxe wing?

I am getting the video done by him, but he didn't know that when he had said it was fine that I didn't want to use him.

I just wrote to the photoshop and they were fine with me using another photographer...just be firm with them

Welcome to the site...it is a wealth of information...and you seem to get answers much quicker than relying on the Jamaican pace of things We are getting married at the Riu Ocho rios. We planned on going to a Sandals resort, but had too many issues with the people that were not couples...we mostly have couples coming. Sandals only has rooms with one bed in them and they will not allow three in a room. Other people that are going there may be more helpful than me, but when we looked at it and spoke to them that is what they told us.

wow...your pictures are amazing. We have a photographer coming with as, but to avoid any confusion with the photo shop on site I thought I would hire them for a bit. Seeing as they are used to taking pictures there I thought it would be good to have them take some of the pictures, but I am at a loss as to how many to purchase 70 pictures is almost 500 dollars.

I just got e-mailed photo changes from Michael...I am not sure if everyone else got them. The prices are the same however; The desired picture packages need to be purchased now prior to you wedding ceremony and the picture viewing and the package you choose and time Needs to be arranged & PAID prior to wedding How many pictures are you going to pay for? I have no idea...I liked the option of looking at them and then deciding...any suggestions for the number of pictures Also is 45 minutes enough?

Did/Is anyone hiring the steel band for the ceremony. I want to hire them, but I am confused as to what time I should hire them for. I only want to order them for an hour. Would they play songs as you walk down the aisle...can you give them songs you would like them to play

I have seen the upgraded flowers costs, but was wondering if you got matching boutonnieres and corsages if they cost more too.
