  1. Hello! I can't believe the time has FINALLY arrived! We leave tomorrow in the wee hours of the morning for our Jamaican wedding at the ROR! I am so excited!! I just wanted to post a message and say thank you to all of you for all the great ideas, excellent advice and incredible assistance in helping me plan our DW. I am so very thankful I found this forum and I appreciate every one of you. You helped me out tremendously and I couldn't have planned everything without you. So again, from the bottom of my heart, thank you! I will be sure to post a review when we get back and upload a bunch of pics. Take care and have a great week! Mel

  9. I am definitely changing my last name. My maiden surname is RIDICULOUSLY Polish with a silent W at the beginning!. No one can spell it or ever pronounce it. FI's last name is only 4 letters long! Its an easy decision for me. After 32 years of listening to people butcher my last name, I'm happy to let it go
  10. Ok, Good luck. Let me know if you need anymore details.
  11. You are from Saskatchewan? Regina? or close to? I got mine from the A-1 rental party store. They still have quite a few pairs and they are $9.99! If you are close to Regina and need the address to the party store, let me know!
  12. I forget, how much is the "free wedding" package? Is it $300US or $350US. I cant remember. Ya, we decided agasinst travellers cheques when we heard about all the hassle you have to go through just to cash them.
  13. We were going to use travellers cheques too, but were told they were more of a hassle than just taking cash. Some hotels will only cash a max of $50 dollars a day etc.
  14. Thank you for answering my questions. Im glad we can use our credit cards.
  15. Hi there, Im just curious. Does anyone know when paying Chandyln for your wedding fees or when paying for the Steel drum band, do they accept credit cards or does it have to be cash? I really dont want to lug a WHOLE bunch of cash with us . I would like to use my visa as much as possible. Does the salon accept credit cards? Michael, the photographer did tell me he only accepts cash, no credit cards allowed. If anyone can answer my questions I would really appreciate it. Thanks Mel ps...we leave to get married in 6 days! Im so EXCITED!!!

  19. I'm sure this is probably posted somewhere in this thread but I was wondering... We are getting married at ROR on Jan.15/2009. We are using the "free wedding package". Does anyone know if any wedding pictures are included in this package or is it a seperate cost? Do you have to contact Michael and book his services prior to the ceremony? and if so does anyone have an updated price list of the photography packages? Or Michael's contact info? It just donned on me in the middle of the night and I went into a panic thinking I might not have a photographer at my ceremony! YIKES!! If any one has any info for me....I would GREATLY appreciate it! Mel
