Happy Birthday! Hope it's a great one!

I sort of started planning my own bachelorette party. It was one of those things where we all talked about it, but no one stepped up and offered to plan. So I started planning and mentioned to a friend at a party that I had started looking for hotels, limos, etc. and she volunteered to take over. Now all I have to do is send her my invite list!

I haven't been to either, but have you checked out tripadvisor.com yet?
From what I know about the USVI I would go there. It sounds a little more exotic and with there only being the two of you, cost might not be as much of a factor.

I say go for it! or, if you want something a little more subtle, you could dye your slip green. I've seen that done before and it was beautiful!

Great job! I love DIY invites! They are so much more personal. I think your RSVP card was my favorite!

Welcome Michelle! There is lots of advice to be found on the forum!
Have you tought about trying to find a travel agent first if you really do want a DW? I would guess she could be of more help than a "regular" wedding coordinator.
Congratulations and happy planning!

Welcome!
One tidbit that will probably be intereting for you...
The airlines publish their rates 330 days out (about 10 months). Check the flight times and cost to help you narrow down your selection. That was part of the reason we decided on Jamaica--the flights would have been a little pricy for our guests, but our group has about 50 ppl.

Welcome! Be sure you do some research so you are happy with your choice. After the groom, your location is the next most important thing! Once you get those details settled it's much easier to move forward.

I don't know if you would consider them unique, but if youcan find a Drury Inn, they are great! Very affordable, hot breakfast included, nice pools and hot tub. I've stayed in several across the country when traveling. Definitely my fav for budget lodging. Hotel Rooms, Rates & Reservations at Drury Hotels

I'm so excited!
The paper to finish my STDs just got here! My TA couriered over all of the trip flyers to include with them! YEA!
Tonight is going to be filled with folding and stuffing! THis is such a relief! We still need to fill 7 spots so we don't lose any of our deposits, so hopefully these will do the trick!

I'm not worried. I think I chose a dress that is sort of a happy medium of what I wanted and what he wanted. His only request was that it be white, no other colors.
Of course, this is the man who thinks that just because you have on a shirt and a pair of pants it equals an outfit. The best line ever was, "Honey, don't let me turn into the dad that the other kids laugh at." While he was wearing black socks, adidas sandals, and shorts.

i have to have heels! My FH is over a foot taller than me, all 3 GM are over 6', 2 BM are 5'8. I am 5'3". I don't want to look like the little girl playing dress up on my wedding day. I have wedge flip flops aka "Stripper Flops" because they have a 4" heel. I'll wear normal heels at the reception when we aren't in sand.
It was either heeled flops or a be-dazzled step ladder!
These are only $20 through Victorias secret online.

I've always heard it rains in the later afternoon between 1 and 3 or so. This is also usually the hottest time of the day do showers are brief and dry quickly. I'd try to keep your wedding time earlier in the morning or late afternoon/sunset if you really are upset about it. Don't worry the coordinators will have a rain plan they go over with you on the first day.
I'm off!!
