  1. Hi everyone I think the last time I posted I was about 4 weeks and today I am 11 weeks and 3 days. We had our first ultra sound last night and it was amazing!!! At first the baby was very still but then it went crazy, kicking and moving it's body. I couldn't feel it but seeing it was unbelievable the doctor warned me that our baby will most likely be very active and I should feel in the nexy month or two. We are sticking to the original due date which is August 1st. We are so excited. Congratulations everyone. Does anyone have any weird cravings? I don't know when it starts I read as early as 2-3 weeks but I really want to eat mayonnaise. Isn't that nasty, the thought of it on a blt makes me soooo hungry. I don't eat it often because it's not that healthy but once and a while I give in it's really yummy!
  2. In the picture I posted I had coconuts which I put their menus in, I know you aren't doing dinner. But, they were only $5.00 per person and the bartender went around and poured a drink in them for everyone to drink out of. Throughout the night we toasted with coconuts and everyone loved it and drank out of them, and the drink was delicious. You could always do something like that to fill your tables. Ask for Ali as your bartender he served at our wedding and he was so much fun!!
  3. I really liked the junior suite better because of the location but if you want to upgrade you need to be polite. While we were there the people in front of us were giving the front desk person a hard time and they were told nothing was available. When we politely explained that we wanted to move they moved us no problem. If you have a junior suite you will be happy. The only difference between that and the suite is the jacuzzi on the balcony.
  4. I posted before our wedding but here is the picture I sent to our wedding coordinator which she said would be no problem to create for us..... And here is the actual cake ...... The ONLY regret I have is paying for this cake, I actually laughed at it when they brought it out for us. It is so ugly. It tasted good but come on now, they don't even look alike. And, they used fake orchids on it!!
  5. Here is one picture of our table set up, it was very simple with rose petals and the centerpiece with candles. We had dinner here as well so I didn't want crowded tables.
  6. Our first room was right on the beach over looking the beach gazebo, it was absolutly gorgeous. It was room 1264. They upgraded us to the one with the jacuzzi on the balcony but that was way on the other side right next to sandals. It was just as nice but too far away. We did have a problem with our a.c in room 1264 which wasn't working at all and that is why we moved but it was by far the better of the two rooms.

Sorry, so many questions...I need to buy candle holders but don't know how many cuz don't know how many tables they put out and if it's looks funny with just one or would i need more than one candle per table? They are small votive candles. Any pictures would be appreciated ps. I leave one week from today....please help! lol We had dinner and dancing all in the same spot so the price we paid included dinner, drinks, set-up and tiki torches. The tables all had white linen and I don't know how many tiki torches but there were plenty all surrounding us, our group was small only 25. I brought my own centerpieces so they did not provide candles. Our centerpieces were sitting on a palm leave and it was a rectangular glass piece with drowned orchids with 5 lit tea lights floating on top. One per table plus the tiki's were plenty of light for our group. Oh, they also provided a spot light for dancing which was great. I'll find some pictures and post later, they are saved on my lap top not this computer. Hope this helps.
  8. Our reception was moved from the Seagrape and was set up directly next to the beach gazebo and we were so pleased. It was very private, the only non guests around were the people whose rooms were right there and we were one of them so it was fine. About the bonfire, you get just the set up and bonfire for $150.00. We paid for the bonfire but it had rained earlier that day so the wood was wet and wouldn't light but no biggie really. At that point we were having a great time and didn't bother to get our money back because it wasn't their fault. But had the bonfire worked it would have been worth it.
  9. We brought our own photographer and had no problems. No one from the photoshop even showed up during any part of the wedding/reception. When I sat with Chandlyn to finalize everything she asked if we needed Michael and I said no I had my own photographer and she said that was fine. As far as the $200 if you did have a problem with him and you never signed any contract then you do not owe anyone any money. They cannot make you pay just because you don't use their photographer. The photoshop at the hotel and the wedding department are seperate so even though you are having your wedding there it does not mean that you will use their photographer. Hope that helps, good luck!
  10. I am so excited to be a part of this forum. We just found out that I am 4 weeks pregnant!!! We were married Nov. 15th (what a wedding present!!) and didn't realize we would get pregnant as quickly as we did, I was pregnant for the wedding and I didn't even know until yesterday! We are so happy and I can't wait to be a Mommy! It's a bit early to tell friends and family but I feel like I might burst if I don't tell anyone so here I am. Congratulations to all of you!
  11. Hey Mrs, Congratulations and welcome back. I saw your wedding ceremony and you looked beautiful!! Later on we were at the beach when you and your group ran into the water you all looked so nice together. The weather wasn't the best but it will make for beautiful pictures. Congratulations again, can't wait for pictures.
  12. I just came back from ROR and we had ours at the Dunns River Bar. It is right across from the entertainment and it over looks the ocean. We just pulled a bunch of tables and chairs together, there were 25 of us, and we were able to watch the entertainment and talk if we wanted to. It was really nice.
  13. It's wrinkled and as you can see the place I went is a cluttered mess but she does amazing work and I am extremely satisfied!

This was our cake. It was blue buttercream frosting with white cake and a fresh fruit layer in the middle (strawberries, kiwis, bananas, and pineapples and smashed up and SO yummy!). The cake fed about 50 and we got a sheet cake that fed 90. We had 75 guests and very little left over! All done by a grocery store baker for $250. You cake is so cute, I love the people on top, and it sounds delicious!
