  1. Irie, what room are you reserving there. They have alot of different suites to choose from.
  2. Thx Chicago. I have a couple to choose from and yes, i am using them on my OOT boxes, menu's, etc. I was reading about Couples Ocho Rios for our honeymoon portion and all of these activities are included: All-Inclusive activities and equipment Water sports Windsurfing Sailing Sea kayaking Snorkeling on-site; snorkeling trips by boat leaving 2–3 times daily Scuba diving trips (two-tank dive per day; certified divers only) Scuba diving resort courses (completion allows one tank dive) Glass-bottom boat tour Sunset catamaran cruise Waterskiing Use of one main pool/pool on Tower Isle/four spa tubs/lounge chairs/towel service Does anyone know of any other romantic AI resort that offers activities for free. I don't think Riu Ocho Rios does.
  3. where would they set this up? At the restaurant during your reception (Because I thought that both restaurants were outside?)
  4. Yep.......me May 10, 2008 and I think that Lizz is right after mine. We will be there at the same time (I think)
  5. Okay, I've heard from Chandlyn regarding the specialty drinks. Her answer is in red. 10. Specialty Drinks (FOR DINNER / DISCO) If I wanted to have a special drink for my guests with my name on it (example – “Marsha’s Island Loveâ€), could I give the bartender a basic recipe and have him make it for my guests? This will depend on the ingredients. Should they be available this will not be a problem.
  6. your pics are great! you guys look so happy! I know that you all must of had a blast! Do you have any pics from Michael yet?
  7. Thank you soooo much for posting your pictures!! I haven't even began to look through them. I want to finish cooking dinner first so I can give your pics my UNDIVIDED attention. I'll be back soon.
  8. Jerzzygirl, there wasn't any charge for that? Who came up with the drink recipe.......you or the bartender. I'm thinking of having drink menu's made up for the disco. Do you think that they would serve my specialty drink for free if i gave them a basic recipe to follow? Also, how were the menus at your dinner reception? Did they have everything that was in the included menu on your menu or did they only have selected items? Last question: Did you have to give them a headcount beforehand of everyone's entree selections? Thanks!!!
  9. JERZZYGIRL!!!!!!!!!!! Welcome back!! we've been waiting for you I'm soooo happy for you and so glad to know that everything was perfect. I'll hold off on my questions for now and let you get settled in. glad your back safely!! Congrats girl!

Thanks so much! Robin Hi Robin......when I said traditional, I meant that I didn't see any DW shots on there. Sorry for the mixup. I hope I didn't offend you. Anyhow I saw your pics from Raeka's wedding and they are unbelievable. I am working with an extremely tight budget, but If i had the money, I WOULD DEFINETLY BOOK YOU. You totally have me SOLD right now....:-(
  11. has anyone seen any of Robin's destination work? I went to her website, but it pretty much has the traditional stuff. I wonder if she is still having her special. hmmm.......note to self........find more money and triple my budget once again.........lol
  12. oh, i totally misunderstood. I thought that you only had to pay for lodging if the Photographer was traveling. I thought that if the photographer lived in JA, you would only have to pay $200 to break the contract. I will most likely use Micheal's services, because I do not want to go through a whole bunch of BS on my wedding day. I'm still planning on bringing a friend of mine from back home to take some pictures. He will be a guest at the hotel. oh Heidi: I forgot to ask about Robin's special. What is it?
  13. Wow!! You ladies are awsome!! Talk about feeling inspired! As for now, I haven't decided if I'm going to do just a runner or a complete tablecloth. The tables are sqare and sit around 6 people - 8 people per table. A big THANK YOU TO EVERYONE!!!! I love the suggestions.....keep em' coming.
  14. This was posted in another thread on this board and I really like this color, but I would probably go with a different texture. What do you all think.
  15. thanks lizzy! I just wanted to see if I would be able to sample the food or cake beforehand to make sure that i like it. since i don't have a wedding party, it will just be my FI, FI's parents, and my parents, and myself. Thanks!
  16. HI ladies. FYI:: I contacted Sun Gold Photography to see what their rates are and here is the response to my inquiry. Hi Marsha and Brian, Congratulations on your up-coming wedding at RIU Ocho Rios. Marsha we would love to be a part of your special day, but I have to warn you about RIU resorts. They are not too keen on the idea of you having an outside photographer. The last time 3 times we went to RIU Ocho Rios, our clients actually booked us into the hotel. I just want to fore-warn you of any complications. I am attaching our photography packages and information for you to view, please let us know if we can be of any more assistance. Sincerely, Paula Damian and Paula Williams Sun Gold Photography Jamaica, West Indies so it appears that even if you pay to bring in n outside vendor photographer, you still may have to fork over money to book your photographer at the hotel as a guest.......but i'm not sure. what do you ladies think about this?
  17. Clussy, I thought about using the petals, but i'm still unsure about it. Amy, my colors are Chocolate, Cream, & Olive. I think I should definetly look into getting a runner or a different color cloth. Now the problem is choosing a color to give it some life.
  18. after thinking about it a bit more, maybe I should do like an auburn rusted color table cloth. It's not really in my theme, but all of my colors are so safe. I want something to make it pop. OMG..........I"m so confused!!!
  19. Thanks lissah!! I think your right. I want the tablecloth to either be olive or cream. Like in my "table decor" picture. That should help some.....or maybe a table runner.
  20. ok amy.......check now. I switched them over to photobucket. Let me knowif you still can't get in.
  21. Hi all, I just did a "test" of my centerpiece arrangement and I"m not quite pleased. What can I do to give it a little pizazz. It's a bit blaaaaa for me. I'm thinking about possibly adding ribbon or crystals or even perhaps a table liner. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!! ps. please excuse the crumpled tablecloth. I was in a rush when I did these. My battery camera was about to die. Thanks!! It's the first 4 pics once your in my album. stuz_wedding - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
  22. For the rehearsal dinner, are you actually sampling everything that will be on the menu for your reception dinner or is it just a basic dinner for your wedding party?
