  1. Can anyone tell me where I can get small travel guides/maps for PDC area ( in bulk) to put in my guests' OOT bags?? I figured I could find these once I arrive to PDC, but concerned I wont be able to find the smaller ones and also I need about 35-40 of them! Does anyone know where exactly in PDC ( or anywhere) I can find something like this? I really dont want the huge maps, as they need to be smaller to fit in the welcome bags. I appreciate any suggestions/info anyone can give me here!! Thanks!
  2. Hi, Im wearing a backless dress however my dress also has thin straps as well so its able to be pretty supportive already in itself really. However, if you dont have any type of straps whatsoever ,then eys the push up bra/adhesiveswork very well from VS Ive bought some for strapless dresses before. The bra adhesives from Saks Fifth Ave( lingerie dept) are also great. I also recommend asking your seamstress/bridal salon or the person doing your alterations what they suggest as well for your specfic dress...
  3. I've been pretty busy too! Ive finished mostly everything and this is what I have left to do below.. 1. Decide on hair style/get hair accesories if needed 2. Set up makeup/makeover appt 3. finalize Music 4. Get programs in June 5. Get teeth whitened 6. finalize all OOT bag items ( have most of them already, but buying few more trinkets once we get to PDC for mexican "flare" 7. organize packing/luggage bgs to transport all items 8. Have 2nd appt with dress alterations tomorrow- and need to get steamed once before departure 9. Sent out invitations today
  4. Hi Heather, Im doing OOT/Welcome bags as well, and you dont "necessarily" have to have the bags in the room before your guests arrive if you dont want to since that can be more tedious then easy at times. I decided to have a "meet & greet"/welcome dinner @ one of the resort's restaurants where Im getting married , around the 1st night that most my guests would be arriving- that way we can give them their OOT bags then. That was easier for me, cause I didnt hvae time to track everyone down to put in rooms before they arrive, plus it was too much trouble coordinating with the hotel staff to either let us in each of their rooms and I didnt trust they would take care of all of that themselves, so it was easier for me to just give them all at once time! re: your 2nd question- since we are just giving them at the welcome dinner, we are taking the 2nd day we are there as well to pick up local trinkets as well for our bags. There is tons of places to get this type stuff on 5th Ave.. we are getting local candies, travel maps for each bag and hopefully a few coupons forlocal bars, etc in the areas that guests can use when hanging on the strip. I already have lip balm, suncreen, agenda/welcome letters and I also added a personalized thank you note( with each guest's name) for each bag. Hope this helps!! Just a different suggestion since the other way was too stressful for me! Gotta find other ways to make things easier for the bride!!
  5. Hi! FYI- Im actually getting married at this resort( Azteca) July 12, 2008. Let me know if I cna help in any way with any questions you may have!
  6. Thxs for the update here, as I was repeatedly being told that it wasnt recognized as legal in the U.S. by many! I appreciate your feedbakc and help here. Thxs sooo much!
  7. Lidya, thanks soo much for your feedback here!! I would love any more info/insight you may have on good vendors make-up/hair artists, photography, etc) in the area or the Viva Wyndham itself! Im so relieved in recieving your feedback on the hotel as there is barely info on that resort on this forum and most the brides on here didnt know anything about it, so i was getting somewhat concerened that i had made the wrong choice or that it wasnt as a good of a hotel as i thought. You made me feel so much better!
  8. Hi, thxs for your feedback! Are u having a formal ceremony at home before your one in Mexico as well, or just doing like a J.O.P thing?
  9. Hi ladies! Quick question- For those of you who have had your weddings in Mexico, whats the "easiest"/popular way to handle the marriage process, since U.S. doesnt legally recognize a marriage in Mexico. Do most of you just get married beforehand in U.S./locally to bypass all the blood tests and tedious process/requirements of Mexico? We were thinking of just getting married at home in U.S. a week before we headed to our wedding in Playa del Carmen, Mexico to make the process easier, since we are just having a religious ceremony is Mexico and not the civil one..and just not telling anyone. I know a few of my other friends having destination weddings are talking about doing the same thing.. Any insight/advise here is appreciated, as Id like to get feedback on what others have done..!! Thxs!
