    oh! i hope everything works out with my wedding..we have him booked for october. I'm kinda worried now. I'm getting married at 3pm and we have a rehearsal with him the day before at 5pm. I never spoke to a secretary.

    You are so much help, thank you!!! the garden is a very private area with walls around the garden and a fountain in the middle...its open air so when you look up, you look at the sky. If i picked the garden ,im not sure i would want my dancing there so maybe if i picked the beach , they could arrange for a dance floor on the beach. Can't wait to see the pics!

    ok so if i want a private reception at the garden there is an extra charge right. Do you know what it is? 500$? Then to have extra booze another 10$ an hour /per person..can we have all the extra booze we want for that price? Where did you guys have your cocktail hour and your dancing? did you have a DJ Can you have a wedding coordinator at the riu What kind of prob's did you have with Daniella?

    RIU GIRLS: Where are you guys having your cocktail hour/reception/dancing?? I'm not interested in the mexican private area as its too small and my friend showed me pics of the private garden and its really nice but I think i would want my dancing at a different place, but where? And cocktail hour: any of you having it on the beach? what are the prices for private areas and open bar?

    well the BM's could get burnt any day before..I still prefer the 9 or 10 am appt. And that's not SUPER early ( sorry i'm french so I use super alot) lol

    I would do a 9am party!!!! That way you wont miss out on anything.

    this is funny..my Fh hopes its a casual dress and I got all sad when he said this b/c mine is going to be the big dress...haha i was feeling the same way!

    Your full of great info Helland! Thanks so much. We are looking at getting married at the church and then having the reception at the RIU but now that i see this place i will contact them. Will they do teh ceremony and reception without having us stay at the villas When was this place opened? Do you have pics for us..i woudl love to see what it looks like!!! Thanks

    I'm so sorry to hear about your beautiful ring. I was at the Majestic Colonial when it first opened and I had nothing but problems at this place. These owners/managers do not care and it goes down to the employees. I will not list all the problems I had, but please, for anyone thinking of going there, DON'T! Happy to go elsewhere, where people care for the safety and well-being of their clients.
