Hola Verenicce, Yes I am getting married at the Mayan Palace in PV.. and is a lovely place. I have posted a lot of pics as well as other brides around. I think the size of the wedding is not a problem there, Christine did a wonderful table setup and looked so beautiful. Have you seen her pics? - Edna

Hola Verenicce Last September I spent a week in the Playa del Sol Grand on my site visit. Playa Del Sol Grand is not a resort but is a really nice hotel, the gardens are so pretty! There’s a river with tons multi-color fishes and even turtles... The food at the Italian restaurant is really really good.. We tried different dishes to share and was plenty, tasteful and very well presented. The main restaurant where the buffet for breakfast is not as good as the Italian, but is not bad at all... All the rooms have kitchenettes and are pretty comfy, you have fridge, stove, microwave so you can go and buy groceries in Puerto Vallarta, at Wal-Mart which I recommend, because the grocery store at NV is kind of expensive compared of what you can get from PV. The hotel is like 25 min on cab from the PV Downtown, so the cab rates are not going to be cheap. There is also the option for the all inclusive which I think was like $55 per person/ day. We didn’t use that option and we were at the beach with our coolers filled up with sodas, beer, water and snacks… so is really a kind of relax atmosphere. For a wedding the PDSG is a good option, the sunset view from the infinity pool is AMAZING!!! The sand on the beach is really soft and nice and the sea is really nice to swim. The infinity pool is really nice and the pool area surrounded by palm trees and lighted in the nights could be a really nice option for your reception and the beach for the ceremony will work perfect for a small wedding. I don’t know if they will serve food from the Italian rest for a wedding, but if you can get it that will be great. HTS

Mini Tequila Bottles
edna replied to jajajaja's topic in Destination Weddings in Puerto Vallarta & surrounding areas
Rachel I dont remeber where I posted the info about but I know the mini bottles of Don Julio cost around 60-80 pesos and you can buy those at the liquor stores in Downtown, but if you want to buy cheaper you can try Wal-Mart or Sams... Vinoteca is one big liquor/fine wine store you can call them too: PUERTO VALLARTA Calle Viena 243 L-3 Col. Versalles. Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco C.P. 48390 T. (322) 225-6920, (322) 225-6921 E. Has anyone gotten married at the Vallarta Palace?
edna replied to kr3611's topic in Puerto Vallarta Accommodations & Site
I have a friend from the office who got married there, all the people said it was wonderful, the food, drinks, the setting, everythin... And at the beginning I wanted to get married there , the WC from the hotel sent me some pics , please PM with your email and I will share those with you… -
He is one you should try, this is for 2 servings so multiply it as you need it... MMMMMMM , I am so hungry LOL Hooters Buffalo Wings 1/4 cup butter 1/4 cup louisiana hot sauce 1 dash pepper, Ground 1 dash garlic powder 1/2 cup flour 1/4 teaspoon paprika 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1/4 teaspoon salt 10 chicken wings bleu cheese salad dressing celery vegetable oil, for frying Heat oil in a deep fryer to 375 degrees. You want just enough oil to cover the wings entirely -- an inch or so deep at least. Combine the butter, hot sauce, ground pepper, and garlic powder in a small saucepan over low heat. Heat until the butter is melted and the ingredients are well blended. Combine the flour, paprika, cayenne pepper, and salt in a small bowl. If the wings are frozen, be sure to defrost and dry them. Put the wings into a large bowl and sprinkle the flour mixture over them, coating each wing evenly. Put the wings in the refrigerator for 60 to 90 minutes. (This will help the breading to stick to the wings when fried.) Put all the wings into the hot oil and fry them for 10 to 15 minutes or until some parts of the wings begin to turn dark brown. Remove the wings from the oil to a paper towel to drain. But don't let them sit too long, because you want to serve the wings hot. Quickly put the wings into a large bowl. Add the hot sauce and stir, coating all the wings evenly. You could also use a large plastic container with a lid for this. Put all the wings inside the container, add the sauce, put on the lid, then shake. Serve with Bleu cheese dressing and celery sticks on the side.

There are for sure nicer options, but it's not a bad place though. We are going with their wedding package which is $1100 and includes most everything (ceremony, flowers, cake, champagne toast, dinner with guests, plus other perks). The only thing extra we need is a photographer! Only 12 guests are coming with us - no wedding party - so that's keeping things cheap. With only 14 of us total, it's not worth it to hire music and have a dance. After dinner we'll probably stroll the malecon and see what kind of fun we can find! (Which I do plan on wearing my gown for! It's the most beautiful gown ever and I'm going to wear it for as long as possible! lol). What I'm mostly hoping to find here is people who have married, or seen a wedding at the Buenaventura and can tell me what is was like and what to expect. Welcome to the forum !!! I am also a 2008 PV Bride, let me know if I can help. I saw in your post that you need a photog? Have you tried entering the contest that Nic D is offering? is worth a try, his work is awesome and if you win you will only have to pay for the travel expenses...!!!
