Which also shows me that I've been using the wrong email address, Ann.  Sorry!

  2. Oh I got all wrapped up in my reply that I forgot to reply to you Jenny.  I don't think you are fooling yourself IF you've done something like that before and know that you can do it.  Working out at home is great, if you actually do it.  I've done it before, but not recently.  It's my new goal as well. Where I suck is leaving the house to work out.  Like I say everyday I'm going to start walking, but there is no time, or it's too cold, or soon it will be too hot.  I'm a home body and quite possibly would be a hermit if I was allowed.

  3. I'm with you, last week (this weeks weigh in) is NOT pretty.  I'm up 3.5 lbs since last week which was my lowest in awhile.  BOOOOOO!  I'm not really sure what went wrong, like there isn't ONE thing that I did differently.  I drank wine a few nights, but not extremely.  Like 1 glass maybe two nights and then on Easter I had a few glasses.  I even only had apple crisp for dessert on Easter and nothing else and I've been eating healthy while at work.  I don't know how weight gain works, but I'm wondering if this jump is from when I went a little crazy when I had my period two weeks ago.

Either way, Matt and I discussed it and he's been stagnant for a few weeks and up until this week I had been losing each week, so we're going to try to get back more to the cleanse diet.  We've veered off slightly, like our morning drinks are usually fruit instead of veggies and we're eating less salads and more rice.

I wanted to lose 5 lbs before our pics on Sunday and instead I'm up 3.5, so I'm annoyed at myself.  Then Xavi's birthday party is a month away and I want to feel good about myself!  I need to find the time to do the 30 day shred again.

  4. Way to go, Jenny!  And everyone else who had a loss, great job!

I've been done the cleanse for a few weeks now, but we are still eating the same (mostly veggies/fruits, brown rice and chicken or fish) and I'm still losing, so yay!  I guess since it's less a "cleanse" and more a lifestyle change, that's to be expected.  Matt hasn't continued to lose though, so I bet he'll drop like 8 lbs in one weigh in, like men can do.  I still have a way to go (10-15), but I'm feeling good about where I am and how I'm getting there.  It's slow, but it's real.

  5. I did a few of those challenges awhile back and they are killer, but they do work.  The most improvement I had was the pushup challenge.  I could barely do 3 when I started and by the end I was doing 20+.  I should start back up again.

Hot yoga is expensive here too and usually a far drive, but I had a groupon 5 class for $35!  Can't beat that and worth the 40 mins drive.

And obviously I think you should use Xavier as a name b/c my little boy is awesome.  And I love Xav or Xavi as a nickname.

I think thats what my fiance wants to name a boy when we have kids, if we have a boy lol.

  6. I keep forgetting to weigh in at home, but I'm pretty sure there isn't much difference since last week.  I went to hot yoga last night, god I love that class!  I wish it wasn't so dang far away b/c I would definitely make it my thing.  My legs/butt are sore today, but in that good "i worked out" way.

We have our final photoshoot with a photog that we bought a year package from (for Xavier) and I really want to lose at least five more lbs before then.  That's April 7, so I really have to push myself for the next two weeks.  I think I can do it.

Then Xav's bday party is in May and I'd really like to just look like me instead of a heavy me.  The baby weight is gone now, but I want to feel good and not sloppy and like a "mom".  You know what I mean, right?  Like I don't want people to KNOW I'm a mom by looking at me.  Gotta whip myself into shape.

  7. What you described is the couch to 5k program pretty much exactly.  There are a ton like it, but c25k is the original I think.  I loved my app, couldn't have done the program without it!  I should start back up again.

When I was doing the program two years ago (?) I had Nicki Minaj's album Pink Friday and it was really good to run to.  I know people hate on her, but whatever, that album was a good running (ok, mostly walking and huffing and puffing) track.

  8. $170 is a great pot.  And I want it.

My main motivation is that Xavier will be 1 in April and I do NOT want to look like this!  There is no excuse at this point to have "baby weight" b/c at this point, it's just me not taking responsibility for my actions.  i.e. eating snacks nonstop.

I'm finishing up my first week of the cleanse (eating all raw/green food, so mainly fruits and vegetables with a minimum amount of brown rice or lentils daily) and I think I lost under 3 lbs but Matt lost 6.5!!!  Why is it so easy for men?  I'm happy for him b/c he's happy and feeling good about himself, but I also kinda want to punch him in the face.  Not really though.  But kinda.  Jealous much?

  9. A loss is a loss, no matter how minimal it is!

I am down 1.5 lbs this week, which was up 1 lb from week one, so I'm only down .5 lbs in total, but I'll take it!

I just dropped off payment yesterday for a cleanse.  The hubs and I were talking about doing one for awhile now and we are most likely going to start on Saturday.  It's the Standard Process Purification Cleanse, for anyone interested.  I've never done it before, but I've heard good things. It's more about cleansing your body to make your organs work better to enhance sleep, skin issues, stress, mental clarity, low libido, weight loss, etc.  But I don't expect to lose more then say 5 lbs and even that is pushing it.  I did a cleanse before and didn't lose very much.
