  2. Katrina! Everything looks wonderful!!! I love everything!!! But I really love your veil and hair flower! Question....are you still planning on serving the tomato soup? I am pretty sure Mexico uses tomatoes from there....just a thought.
  3. Ya, that's more than I thought....I guess if I had 4 or 5 kids a day I might be able to live. BUT, I don't think I could charge that much down here....But, that could be an option.

Just a thought. See, I always thought tutors didn't make that much money....I guess I could look in to that!

If someone told me "no," I would be like "ok, bye!" In other words, I wouldn't fight for the sale. Quote: Originally Posted by CaliaA07 I'm trying to find a WOHM job too. It's hard. I wouldd still like to do some SAH work because although I'm going back to school in the fall, I'm also doing an internship.. so I'll be working, just not getting paid. I would really like to make at least a little money on the side. Like you though, I have no desire to do the standard WAH jobs (sales, daycare, etc). I am pretty artistic and love making jewelry so I guess in theory I could ry and do that, but it's sort of a crap shoot. I'd prefer something a little more solid. I'm was also thinking of doig some web design work. Again, another thing I couldn't do...I am SO not artistic! Quote: Originally Posted by KimB81 I am a meeting planner for an event planning company. Kim Ya, I am afraid I would miss out on socializing.....even though most of my socializing is done with elementary kids! ha! I have a BS in Criminology and Edcuation and will have a MS in Guidance and Counseling in a few weeks....which unfortunately doesn't leave me much choice of job options. Can't teach from home, unless I tutor, which doesn't leave me much room to make $. Kinda hard to provide counseling to people over the phone.... Ugh. I guess I have to forget my dream of staying home with Noah for a year and start applying with school districts. Bummer,

I could never do that. I am a teacher, but the youngest I have taught is second grade....I don't think I could watch other infants or toddlers. I think I will only be good with one...mine.
  7. I've been excited since the day I got engaged. Assuming you are talking about your wedding? ? ?
  8. nikki, I just want to do it so I can be at home with baby, since I can't take a year off like I wanted to. I could never work in sales though.....I am a horrible salesperson! I could never be a photographer either.....although I would love to be!
  9. And you get to work from home? That rocks!
  10. Talk to me about what you do, please!
  11. It's like that in the chit chat forum too...no clue why. Hopefully a mod can help us!
  12. Greece gets my vote.....I have never been but after our trip to Spain next year, that will be our next trip. It is just amazingly beautiful....well, in pictures anyhow!
  13. Are you taking a weekend trip, Alyssa?
  14. I am also a teacher.... I plan to finish my thesis (this week) and GET MARRIED!
  15. Yuuuuuuum! This reminds me of a watermelon martini a friend of mine makes! SOOOOOOOO good!

  17. I am sorry, Yari. Next time I have a bad craving, I will keep it in the mommy-to-be thread. But, if you lurk in there, I can't be held responsible! Jaq, next time send me some ESP and I will eat it for you! Erin, Go for it! The wedding is over, allow yourself some slack! Nicole, I think the sausage biscuits are too greasy...you don't?
  18. Jack did that to mine last year when he was a puppy and a while back he ate the cord to my printer. Luckily those are easy to replace! Did she get sick?
  19. She couldn't get a good view of his kidneys last time...She said it was because he was curled up. I hope she wasn't just tryng to make me feel better. I hope they are growing right. But, after the sono, I met with my doctor and he was the one that said I needed to go back in 2 weeks for a follow-up because there were some things the sono lady couldn't get. So, I don't know if "some things" are just his kidneys or other things too. I didn't even think to ask! Bad mommy....so I have been a little worried since then. I just want him to be healthy, ya know? Of course you know!
  20. I think us prego girls don't fall in to the 9 minute craving timeline! I'll tell him tonight! Did Karma post in here and I missed it?!
  21. I don't give my cat or dog people food, so I am not sure that they like anything...but, my moms cat ate our turkey that was defrosting in the sink for one Thanksgiving. Not the whole thing, just a piece....we went out for dinner that Turkey Day!
  22. I am a little late on this, but I just got an email back from the Chair of our Graduate Studies secretary that types up the thesis' for us grad students on her own time....Anyhow, she charges $3 per page and $3.50 per page if they have tables and charts. I think that is expensive, but apparently she proofreads for us too.

Maybe he will grow up to play soccer! I am glad I get to see him again, I just wish it was under diff. circumstances.
  25. I think it really depends on you and your fiance. Jay and I are so laid back and casual that when we were going to take ours (we didn't get to afterall) we were going to wear jeans and black shirts....We would never wear a suit and a dress, but that is just because that's not really us.
