Thanks for the pictures!! It looks beautiful. My only complaint (and I know this is something that will happen at most resorts) is that its not private and that anyone can just walk up and watch. My sisters BF was married in Curacao and they had all these people walking up in bathing suits watching. I was hoping for something a bit more private. I wonder if they have a private area at the resort?

Im sure they could. Now a days you can do pretty much anything to forge documents. I supose you would just have to hope that they wouldn't lie about such a horrible thing. I dont know where you are in Canada, but mine was from Ottawa in the Rideau Centre.

It looks beautiful there! I was wondering, any of the soon to be brides who are getting married at Riu Ocho Rios, do you have any info on the weddings there? I emailed the resort to get info but have yet to hear back.

When my fiance bought my engagement ring he went to a store that only sells Canadian Diamonds. Your best bet is to try and find a store that sells diamonds from the NWT (I see you are in Canada so it shouldnt be hard!) also I believe they have to give you papers to ensure that it is CF. Hope that helps a bit!!

Hi Dana!! I too am new to this board and am finding it very helpful! I know how hard it can be when you have family members that do not like the idea, but you have to remember that it is your day, and you should do whatever will make you and your fiance the happiest!! I dont have any information on the Playa Del Carmen area, but I am sure you will find some on here from the other ladies!

Sorry to say, but there is no easy way to get rid of stretch marks. Those creams are pretty much a marketing scam, and vitamin E cream will help lighten dark stretch marks, but once they become white it wont do anything anymore. The best option is to get laser resurfacing. I think you can get it done at a dermatologist. It is very exspensive though and they don't guarantee 100% results. Sorry that probablly wasn't what you wanted to hear, but I feel for ya! I have a belly covered in stretch marks since having my son, and I'm not to thrilled about having to show them when we go away to get married!

LOL, thanks for all the babysitting offers!! I try to get most of my planning during nap time now a days! The biggest problem I am having is picking a destination. I was really leaning towards Jamaica, but now seeing so many Mexico brides Im wondering if this is a better option. How did everyone pick their destination, because I am totally stuck!!
