That's why it's so weird. I haven't talked to her yet. I hope she's taking some extra time in the hospital. I don't think you can explain mental illness, long term or short term, if it is ppd it can so easily go unnoticed no matter how great your support system is. One of my best friends killed himself leaving behind 3 young daughters, we had no clue how bad he was and we were with him almost everyday, Kenda also lost her 15 year old friend last year because he felt this was his only way out. Proffessional help is needed I really hope her family pushes for this, because if she tries again next time she may not be so lucky, most women usually try more then once before they actually succeed unlike men who succeed on the first try. I send big hugs to you, I know how painful and confusing it is when someone you loves is going through this

I always find it funny that people have no problem with their teens or children watching movies that have so much violence, but when it comes to sex we want them to watch it without us, because don't kid yourself that they aren't watching. I have an open dialogue with my children about all sexual things and so I really think this movie can not be any worse then some of the movies (knocked up, american pie movies, Searching for Sarah Marshal, etc...) Movies with sexual content always open us up to some interesting conversations, even ones that make me blush. Sex is everywhere so my 16 and 20 year old are either going to watch with or without me, so I vote with!

  5. I am going next week with my daughters, my friend, and her daughter. We will wear kick ass outfits, and I will be wearing one of the three pairs of 4 inch stiletto pumps I splurged on last week as a b-day present to me ( I bought orange, lemon, and turquoise pumps, they are oh so pretty, I just have to decide which ones will be the chosen ones)
  6. I love grapefruit juice, it is my favourite drink, I also love green tea, I also drink iced green tea with lemon's it is really yummy. My husband loves coconut water, but be careful to only drink it in small doses.
  7. We are still up for it, we are just trying to get an idea of how many of us are going to be there, it is a really long drive for us:)
  8. It was the most fun I have ever had with my husband, we laughed, we frolicked, we made out like teenagers, and we got the most beautiful pictures out of it all:) I say don't let the oppurtunity to do this get away from you!
  9. I'm bumping this, we don't seem to have many of us going to this, can we have a count. My husband wants to know if it is worth the 9 hour trip and a day off work to come? Would more people attend if it were a different weekend?

  11. Hey can I play too even though I'm not American and last weekend was our holiday weekend:) Today is cleaning day, nice weather is trying oh so hard to come our way, but it is struggling, tonight we are off to the drive in with the kids to see Speed racer and Ironman. Tomorrow we have Bria's gymnastic competition (she is a provincial athlete, #1 in all of Ontario in her division), and we also have Timothy's football game, so we have to figure out how to be in two places at one time, not easy for Everton since he is Timothy's football coach. Kenda went to Ottawa for the weekend so I am also spending some time worrying, the joys of motherhood:) Hey Andrea wish I could be at your barb-q too, have fun!!!
  12. I love my floor steamer and my hand held steamer. These items make cleaning my home so much easier. The floor steamer cuts in half the time it takes to wash my floor, no more scrubbing. The hand held steamer I use to clean my bathrooms, it gets soap scum off my glass shower in seconds, cleans my kitchen like it is brand new especially my appliances.
  13. are the changes being made based on the fact that you are not living up to your end of the contract (30 people instead of 50 people)? It sounds as though if that is the case you may not be able to fight the new fee, or they may waive that fee and make you pay for 50 guests instead of 30 guests! Which price works better in your favour? If this is the case then you may need to look quickly for a new venue and threaten them with pulling out completely. Also let them know you will be letting future brides know of the difficulty you had working with them, and point them in the direction of this forum so they know the influence that you have over a bad review for their business. Good luck and I am so sorry you have to go through this:)
  14. I personally am a stay at home mom, but Everton does well enough to support our family nicely, although with 5 kids, we could always use more:) The price we pay to have all the niceties in life however is Everton works very long hours, and it leaves me feeling like a single mom. Oh well work now, play later!!!
  15. And once again I sent Liam to school in his winter coat
  16. We will be at Swankys too, I will get back to you about the cruise. Jay, Karen when are you arriving and when are you leaving NYC? Everton and I are trying to figure out our timeline.
  17. I am having trouble finding sympathy, we are still wearing winter coats
  18. I feel your pain, I have 5 beings to pick up after and my dh is the worse. Everton is a great cook but when he is done I could cry, he uses every pot, all the cupboards are open and he puts nothing away If he cleans the kitchen he seriously doesn't know how to wipe a counter or clean a sink. Oh yeah did I mention he also puts his dishes in the sink with food still on it and I don't mean the crumbs. I can't even begin to tell you my frustration when it comes to laundry, I never know what is clean and what is dirty because he takes the laundry out and throws it in baskets in the laundry room next to the dirty stuff. I think most men are just great big kids, it drives me nuts!!!
  19. Ann what a beautiful baby!!! I am so happy all has turned out well, and you are both healthy, what a blessing:) Ann your princess has quite the head of hair, what a doll. Stay strong, keep healthy, and shower each other with tons of kisses xoxoxox
  20. I don't want Gabby to have kids, although it was funny, I really hope they manage to come up with a way to go back to the way things are, like it was a dream or something. The only interesting thing that could come with it being 5 years later is Lynettes step daughter being a vindictive teenager. I liked the episode up until the flash forward!!!
  21. We considered two bands, one for our legal ceremony, and then one for our wedding in the DR. We changed our minds and decided it would be nice to get the second one on our anniversary. I say if you can afford it and it's what you want then go for it. By the way I am curious how you would earn the second ring, hehe:)
  22. I am confused as to why the mother of these children couldn't take them 14 is an awful age, the worst for girls in my parenting experience, they do get better. Kenda at 14 once lost her bedroom door for 5 days because I told her she better not slam the door on me, well she did so she lost her door, she has never slammed it since:) fbil sounds selfish, and he is doing his children no favours by spoiling them, good for you for not being his doormat!
  23. Act surprised and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! It was my b-day 2 days ago but we are celebrating tonight with a bunch of people, it's my 40th, oops I mean it is my 10th anniversary of my 30th birthday!
  24. I have had this job for 20 years, I am soooo ready for retirement, but apparently I have about 15 more years to go:)
