I know this thread is a little older but its hard to find good B&B's in Kauai..so I wanted to post in case someone is looking in the future

One of the best B&B's I have ever stayed out, throughout the world, and we stay at a lot is The Dilly Dally House. We have stayed in the Cottage, which I recommend because its your own private residence but rooms in the house is amazing too. Here is the link:

They have one of the most beautiful views I have seen on the island and they go completely out of their way to take care of you.

If you are on a budget and still want a killer view and a Hawaiian feel..I highly recommend Magic Sunrise. I prefer the apartment but I have actually rented this entire place for a workshop we teach and every room is beautiful. Here is the link to it:

Sunrise offered several other hotels and accommodations in the area that the other guests could stay at. So we had our family/wedding party at Sunrise and then other guests could stay at the local places and come in for the day etc. They even offer a plan where the guests pay a fee for the day and can be included in meals, etc, even though they aren't staying there. We actually booked Castellamonte to begin with and changed only because we liked the separate villas that Sunrise had to offer, verses all being under one roof. It made it feel more private and we were really renting a small village verses a small villa, lol.

I saw a thread where the bride posted her layout for a photo book she was doing online. I worked on mine for the last six months and my computer crashed and I lost it. I can't remmy the website and have looked through a million threads. I went to the link in her post and downloaded the program and did it all on my computer.

Any help? It is not snapfish and its not mypublisher... if you know this you will be my hero!

I was flying out to Cancun in the morning for our anniversary... I can't imagine you girls leaving in the immediate future for your weddings, I would be hysterical. We are with US Airways and called thinking we were going to be able to switch our ticket to somewhere else for free but it is only those flying into Mexico City. If you are flying into Cancun, you are screwed. It is 150 per person to change, plus the additional cost of the ticket if the new one is higher.

We got a hotel on another island and are waiting it out hoping they are going to add Cancun to the list... but if not there is another $300 down the drain!

Yeah I just didn't want to wear all black to it you know... thats why I didn't go with a white jacket and did the white pants instead so I wouldn't take away. I am so confused ;0(

I am attending a 2pm formal wedding in NJ next weekend (Sunday April 19th) for my Husbands Niece. They are having a full dinner and everything after... huge Italian wedding.

Anywhoo... I am not a dress kinda girl... so I am thinking a pair of white slacks, white strappy sandaly(I know thats not a word ;0) heels, black dressy shirt with a black blazer. Then I am going to do chunky turquoise and silver jewelry.

Is this appropriate? I know it may be a little early on the white... but everyone is saying you can wear white anytime now. And then to wear white at all... its a wedding... and then to wear black, crap I don't know. What do you think?

Hi and welcome to the forum! I agree with the other ladies, the best part about a DW is that you don't have to do anything but show up. I didn't even pick colors cuz at the end of the day anything in these locations is beautiful!

I would start by looking at any planning threads you can find. These are the threads where the brides take pics of everything they have done or made or bought in prep for the wedding. They are a lot of fun and will you give you inspiration of what you might need.

The only other advice would be to find out what your location provides and let them handle that. Then pick your colors if you haven't already and worry about your clothing (You, fiance, wedding party, etc), hair, makeup, cake, favors, OOT (out of town bags) and any other little touches you want to add. Just remember the more you try to add the more you have to get to your location.

So what happened? I hope everything was ok... I was hoping there would be an update by the time I got home.

We booked one for the first full day we were there so that everyone would have them for the whole week. Our guests loved it. They charged us 10 per person unless the person bought more than $50 in product and then they were free. I think it would be great at the event too. Hope that helps some ;0)

This is the pic of my AHR that my Mom made. And it was amazing. The bottom layer was chocolate ganache and the top was pineapple with malibu rum (my favorite) for the tropical feel. It was by far the best cake I ever ate!

And this was the one from the DR wedding... I didn't give them a pic or anything for this one because I didn't really care, lol.

I didn't get married at the Palma Real but we stayed there for two weeks for the first part of our honeymoon and loved it! So I would be happy to help you with any basic info about the resort and I have tons of pics!
