  1. Yay, can't wait to see the pics!!!
  2. I think doing it at a Welcome Dinner would be fine, and maybe an ice breaker. For name tags, I think they're cute.
  3. Oh, and to top it off I just realized I've got a yeast infection from the strong antibiotics they gave me when they thought it was just a bad sinus infection. Aye yi yi...
  4. I am sick and tired of being sick and tired! Seriously, this blows. Martin & I were gonna go out for a relaxing dinner but I took my temp and it's still over 100 still so it's a no-go. All I've done since I found out is have Martin drive me to school, drop me off near the door, walk to class, sit in class for 2 hours, walk back out, drive home and spend the rest of the day on the couch. I think I've nailed it down to the day I got it, which was June 9th (the day before he proposed!). I was feeling really tired and yucky but thought it was just the plane ride and traveling (we were in Mexico). The next day I continued to feel horrible and after we got back from dinner and the proposal (luckily I managed to get through it!) I felt even worse and took Nyquil and passed out. I woke up that night crying because I had the worst sore throat I've ever had. I went to the bathroom and my glands were swollen all up and down the sides of my neck in places I'd never even felt them before. They hurt really bad and I would have gone to see a doc but it was like 3 AM so I decided to tough it out til the next morning. The next morning the sore throat disappeared completely which was totally weird but I've been left with the completely yucky feeling, swollen glands, tiredness, etc. ever since. It's hard to be sick for so long. You really do start to go stir-crazy after awhile. Oh, and to top it off I just realized I've got a yeast infection from the strong antibiotics they gave me when they thought it was just a bad sinus infection. Aye yi yi... Sorry I've been so complainy (yes, I just made up that word lol) lately. It actually makes me feel a little better tho getting this stuff out and you guys have been very supportive, I really appreciate it!
  5. Bleh, fever's still up so looks like dinner is a no-go anyways. Mono sucks

I'm too tempted and Martin is telling me to go for it! I said "wouldn't that look weird if i have both on and you're wearing nothing?" so he wants to wear his for a night too. LMAO It would so be our luck that we'd run into someone we knew. BUT I promise to take it off when I get home!!!!
  9. Is it bad that I still have it on and really want to wear it out to dinner?? LOL
  10. I have been on many trips to Mexico without Travel Insurance, but for our last trip we actually might have used it. I was sick and ended up having to go anyways, plus our passports almost didn't arrive in time. Eek! So that is making us re-think purchasing travel insurance for future trips...
  11. Just got my wedding band in and wanted to show y'all the full set!
  12. Cool, that looks like a very helpful link!

  14. Yay, Martin's at the jewelers picking up my wedding band. Pretty soon I'll be able to post a "real" pic for y'all. The tough part is going to be getting me to take it off! LOL

If so, I think that its a great idea to add bottles of liquor in guests' OOT bags. (My WC also suggested adding bottles of Mexican beer - i thought that was cute too.) Just wanted to say good job so far on hotel choices! Thanks! I think it's the next best thing aside from Playa Fiesta Yes, European Plan means drinks and meals aren't included.
  16. Tamara from Incredible Weddings and Events recommended this hotel.

  18. We "met" in August of '05, became friends and officially started dating 3 months later. We actually grew up down the street from each other, went to the same HS and College but never really knew one another. So I guess we've "officially" been together a little over a year and a half.
  19. We are still on the fence with this. Although I mentioned to Martin that Leigh (I think that's who it was) got legally married in Vegas and now he's ALL about that! I'm not sure I want a Vegas wedding but we'll see.... lol
  20. We were going to try Nutrisystem awhile back but read about the very high amount of preservatives in it and opted not to do it. I do know it works for people tho! I think as long as it's not a long term thing it would be fine.
  21. I found a few pics off of Trip Advisor of a wedding at the Westin. I've also emailed the WC at the hotel just to check into their wedding packages.

Now they both actually seem excited! Maybe it's because they have been to the Westin before and feel comfortable with it. Before my Grandma and Grandpa would say something to the effect of "you know, you probably won't have that many people going since it's a DW..." and yesterday when I talked to my Grandma and told her about my 25 person price quote at the Mayan she said "25? You think that's all you'll have...?" Hahaha

I haven't even looked at the Grand Mayan. (I have to stop looking places because I think I'll just constantly keep second guessing myself )
