  1. The cab was $9 for us and yes, they let the cabs in the gate. Heads up, on the way back to the airport, have smaller bills because the 4 times I have done it, amazingly enough, the cab drivers couldnt change a $20 (teehee)
  2. I used Christine Vincent and was really pleased with everything. She captured the moment perfectly and got great shots of everyone at the wedding. She was also great to work with prior to my wedding (i.e. emailed me immediately, returned phone calls, etc) . Send me a PM if you need her contact info
  3. I just did a wedding yesterday where I took curly willow and hot-glued (sounds corny but I swear it works!) tiny white flowers called stock (similar to hydrangeas but much tougher) to create flowering branches. It was really pretty and it DID look like cherry branches. I am not sure how it would hold up in heat but it may be worth it.
  4. Hi there. You can order flowers directly from the growers in Ecuador and Columbia. That is where most of the flowers used in America (outside of those grown in Central California) come from. If you do a google search, you can find the farms that ship direct. The key is to be there to accept the International Fedex shipment and immediately treat the flowers. Good luck! Flying them in from the states usually ends up yucky because they sit at customs. You can fly them into Mexico but not out of Mexico into the states. If you have any questions, send me a PM (I am a wedding florist and may be able to answer specifics). Kara
  5. Hi, wow, I am not the only one avoiding work today!!! teehee. . . Natalie, thank you so much! You and Lance will have so much fun. I warn you in advance about the power of the swim-up bar. I barely zipped into my dress after 5 days at Dreams . . .of course it could have been the nacho bar they put on the beach everyday at 1pm. . . To view the pictures I think you have to join Pictage Then the event search code is Kara and Jason, April 20, 2007 I am ready to go back!!!
  6. Hello ladies. I used Christine Vincent with Xinefoto for my pictures and I LOVE THEM! She was great, professional and she captured the moment perfectly. She also managed to get at least one photo of all my guests (and there were 85 of them!) that captured their individual personality perfectly. I highly recommend her. I am not sure if I can post this but if anyone wants to look at the pictures go to pictage and look up Kara and Jason April 20, 2007
  7. Hi there. We actually had our wedding (ceremony and reception) at a place called Epoca. I am sure they would do a rehearsal for you. It is a nice open air place right on the beach close to the canal (market). The easy part was that the owner is an American so we were able to pay in dollars and there was NO language barrier. The food was spectacular, the service was incredible and the entire event was arranged through email. The website is época : A Beachfront Restaurant in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico if you are interested and the owners name is Kurt. We paid $35 a head for GREAT food and the liquer was based on numbers of bottles opened. But I am willing to bet he would work with you based on your budget. I will be happy to send you pictures of my ceremony if you'd like (I havent quite figured out the posting thing yet)
  8. I was there last year in April. SO FUN! It is such a cool little surf town and if you go after Easter, it is all Montana and Colorado ski bums for their after season vacation. SO FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. You rock! I will use it also. It will go well with the shot glasses and the maracas that we are putting in ours!!!!
  10. thanks for the info. Christine Vincent seems like a good choice also. Her website is xinefoto.com
